  1. Glad to hear that Martinez is healthy. With Madu, Porter, Booker, Fayne, Alexander, Cunningham and a great upcoming sophomore class.....team is loaded and should do well if they play up to their potential.
  2. Okay...this is none of my business, but how is this keeping the players from being exploited? I thought that the TSSAA was there for the kids. I'm wondering if there is something that can be done to help the situation. Does anyone have any ideas or know of a good place to start?
  3. Thanks, again, commander....I emailed Peanut!
  4. She has not signed to play for anyone....she was thinking about a possible walk on. She has applied to and been accepted at a Division I school, but has not yet enrolled. It looks like she'll be attending on an academic scholarship. Am I reading this right? Is she eligible?
  5. Are graduating seniors still eligible for AAU? The person in question would qualify for a 16U team. Would this affect NCAA eligibility? I haven't been able to find any info.
  6. Oh how funny! I feel your pain....McGavock Lady Raiders. We were out much earlier than you, so time has dulled the grieving. I'm keeping myself occupied with the tournaments, both HS and college.
  7. Irate fans Now, Why would the fans be irate? Catch 22!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm just really concerned about the players. Our team was out in the 1st game of district. During the season our team would have been comical if it wasn't so sad. Broken wrist (out for season), dislocated shoulder (out for season), torn ACL (out for season) and many bloody noses, black eyes and bruises.
  8. From what I have witnessed, all season, the girls need to dress out as if it were a football game. I can hear your frustration and I understand it. I hope someone can do something about the situation. The TSSAA is supposed to be keeping the children from being exploited, yet it seems that they are the ones responsible for the exploitation.
  9. (Codye) That's Coty McClure. She is also class Valedictorian for McGavock 2006. Congrats to her It was a wonderful and painful season to watch! Go Raiders "2006-2007"
  10. From what I have witnessed, this year, female basketball players should dress out as football players!!
