  1. Metro rumors this thread is about Hunters Lane. But since you brought up others, Shrader did not screw Moreno. Moreno did not win and so Shrader went in a new direction. Also, Shrader helped Clayton to get a good staff. The former principal was more responsible for Moreno. Cane ridge was more successful than they have ever been. The staff has much better coaches all around. Will the success continue, I don't think so. I see them behind Overton, Antioch, and Hillsboro. If Clayton leaves Hillsboro the job will be filled from within.
  2. Not saying you are wrong but in my opinion the D1 talent is pretty well spread across the state. I do not have numbers to back that opinion up but I would think that saying most talent comes from west Tennessee is inaccurate. All you have to do is look at the number of D1 recruits from BA, MBA, Enworth, all the metro Nashville area public schools and surrounding middle Tennessee county schools. I would think middle Tennessee has just as many if not more. East Tennessee has many talented players as well but I do not know as much about that area as middle. Do you agree or disagree?
  3. Has Finley applied for other metro jobs in the past and what happened with that if he did.
  4. Your boy could do well at HL but I hope he truly knows what he is getting into. The admin will not give him any funds. Darnell was told not to spend a dime. He had to have mouth pieces donated to him be a rep that felt sorry for him. Former coach before that was told that there were not football games on Fridays and there was not a football field or stadium. Instead there were HL sponsored activities on Fridays were people came to watch a game, listen to the band play, and watch the cheer leaders cheer for the team in the game. The kids in the building do not want to work like in years past. HL has athletes on the team yet they havent been competitive in over three years. If this is what he wants then I think he is the guy. Make sure if he wants greener grass he's willing to water, fertilize it, mow it, and more importantly make sure he's ready for all the crap he's going to walk through.
  5. How is it that these three are at the top? I dont necessarily disagree but I could make an argument against all of them. Hillsboro new to district next year and I cannot automatically put them on top. They lost to Overton in the jamboree (I know the excuse that they played mt. juliet the day before), but they did beat Antioch in the playoffs so maybe. Antioch lost to Overton and Cane Ridge and Hillsboro yet they are top three????? Cane Ridge finally had a little success and they automatically get on top. Don't think so. They are like 9-31 the last four years. On top because of one year of what may have been luck. Ok. In all honesty Im just messing with you but hopefully you get my point. I think the top three will be Hillsboro, Antioch, and Overton. Cane Ridge did not impress me this year. They had some good wins but I want to see it more than once to be impressed.
  6. Never mind cf I was just told by the other poster. What school shut down
  7. What school shut down ten years ago and who is cf
  8. I was just thinking of Mnps schools that closed. Couldn't think of a high school but could think of a middle school. Run yes sometimes. The guy at fair view came from middle school and he has done well. The guy from jt Moore was offered Antioch job at one point. Are most ready, no. Maybe a couple are under the right circumstances.
  9. Not necessarily run. They never said high school head coach. Hey may have been at dale wood middle
  10. Hillsboro, maplewood, and pearl Cohn have all done well. And dome you do not get to me.
  11. Actually gold dome beating a metro school does mean something. Your team couldn't even beat ravenwood. Come on now. How many state championships does Indy have? Hillsboro has one. Oh so does Overton. And pearl Cohn. And Antioch gave columbia all they wanted last week. I'm with exms on this one. You act like you know a lot but really don't know much at all.
  12. A lot of jobs will be coming open soon. It is the last week of the regular season and that means someone is about to step down or be moved to another direction. Apply for all jobs to get your foot in the door somewhere. Look on tssaa.org under the bulletin board section to see which jobs are open. Good luck.
  13. I have read this entire thread. You started out looking like a guy anyone would want to hire. You are a former marine, you are trying to take care of your family and be close to your little girl, you obviously care about the kids which is great, but.......there is always a but, there is a big difference between confidence and arrogance. I am really confident in my abilities as a teacher and as a coach. I have never been a marine and I thank you for your service. I do not know what it is like to have walked in a marine's shoes. I will not try to pretend that I have even the slightest clue. However, I would think that as a marine you would not find honor in coming down on someone else's level and talk bad about them. Two wrongs do not make a right is what I was always taught. I do know what it is like to be a teacher and coach. As a teacher, I love the kids, I love helping them in any way that I can, I love setting them up for their futures, and I love making a difference. I have ten years of service, a masters degree, have been teacher of the year, and am a National Board candidate. As a head coach on the same level as you are, middle school, in nine years I never had a losing record or even a .500 record. I was 39-9 as a head coach. My teams consistently were prepared to play, fought hard, and were in almost every game. However, even with my credentials, which I feel are confidence worthy, I am not about to get on here and trash someone else who is trying to help. I understand that not everyone is trying, but some have and you have knocked them down. I would not think that a former Marine would do such a thing. I hope you find the answers that you are looking for and I hope you take the time to think about how you may be perceived by others based off of your comments. In teaching and coaching, one must reflect so that he can improve. Good luck sir.
  14. Why beat around the bush. Just say it is you that wants a job.
  15. If you are talking to me, kid don't flatter yourself. I was reading the Franklin/Hillsboro thread because I was interested in that conversation. Next thing I know I see Indy mentioned. Who cares about Indy in that thread.
  16. You may want to pay more attention in english class. BackTn is right. Welcome to the T but there are some things you need to know. One, most on here could care less about student sections. We talk football on the football boards. Second, do not interupt good conversation about two schools by putting your school in the mix where it does not relate. Example, the Franklin/Hillsboro thread. No need to comment on Indy there. Three, its not a race to see how many posts you can make. Post with thought. Quality over quantity. Just some advice.
  17. Actually I am not for sure about that as you are. If Pearl loses this week they are done in my opinion. If they were to lose they would have to beat Maplewood, CPA, and LA and I am not sure that they can do that.
  18. PC fans where are you at? No one talking trash anymore after a 1-3 start? So if depth is not an issue, support is not an issue, athletes are not an issue, then what the heck is it? What is the plan to right the ship?
  19. Both teams will do what they do, run the ball. Both coaches are old school coaches who know each other well. Should be a tight game. I will give Overton the edge on running the ball, even on defense, and special teams to LA. Both teams started the season with a loss and both rebounded last week.
  20. Stratford usually plays tough in this one. They are coming off a big win while PC is struggling. To their defense they have struggled against two 6A teams. This one is a toss up in my opinion.
  21. You are right about that sir. It could make Stratford's year and break PC's. Surely PC will win this one.
  22. You are right about that sir. It could make Stratford's year and break PC's. Surely PC will win this one.
  23. You are right about that sir. It could make Stratford's year and break PC's. Surely PC will win this one.
  24. aI really have no idea what you are trying to say because I am hoping you are not meaning what I tend to think that you are. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt. Just so you know though, in reality a natural "black" pearl is not really black. It is actually more of a charcoal color or even metallic gray. If the pearl is black, then most of the time it is only because it has been dyed. Natural pearls are valuable period. It does not matter if they are white, cream, charcoal, gray, or black because they are so rare. What is the new excuse of the week? Blackman put a hurting on your boys. I am glad I didnt put any money on your team. I would have lost big. I really thought PC would have performed better. My teams are metro teams. I have already said that I am a metro guy born and raised. I have friends at Antioch, Cane Ridge, East, Hillsboro, Hillwood, and Overton. I pull for them all most of the time.
  25. Correction noted about the fifth game instead of the fourth. My bad there. So they could start 0-4 then going into East Nashville. I have been to games at PC before. Why would I be afraid to go there though? What are you trying to say?
