If the team could have won in 06 then they would have. Funny you bring up Oakland and all of Riverdale's ex assistants. Oakland won in 08 running a lot of smokestack. If you can win with running the smokestack then you can win running the wingt. Also, many fans on here say they dont like Adeylott because he runs the wingt. He actually runs more of a hybrid version of the wingt. Old dad was a loyal Riverdale fan while they were winning and playing for championships. True fans are supportive through it all.

With all of the names that have been dropped in this web of rumors I am surprised no one has said the name that would get you and RTB coaching together.

Taco has given us clues as to who he is. None of them point to Eubanks. Hogan, if you were hiring who would you choose. Maybe you should do it and bring RTB along too.

I figured that was the case. Still, he would be good there and could assemble a great staff. Maybe Ravenwood would have better luck if they looked for a new administrator first!

JCraig - Love the excitement and the fact that you are hungry all the time. I don't know you and I doubt it would ever happen but I would coach with you. You have a love for the game and it sounds like that is what Ravenwood needs. Ravenwood needs someone who will overlook the administration that you all talk about and someone who will get these kids back on the right track. Good luck. I'll throw out another name or two that have not been mentioned. Tate Thigpen from Overton has been an assistant there for a couple of years working with the wr/db. Like JCraig he wants to get his feet wet and has learned from a veteran coach on how to do things the right way. Maybe he could convince another Overton guy to come and be his assistant and take over baseball when Kirby leaves. The other name is Woodward. He came from there and has done well at AHS. It would make the Centennial v Ravenwood game pretty interesting with Rector being there. Neither name may be interested but they are worth mentioning. Good luck to Ravenwood finding a coach.

Dont forget Hillsboro/Franklin calling it a "tie" a couple of years ago due to weather.

LOD your support is needed. All positive support and even some criticism can be a very good thing. My problem with the way you have handled things is that you spout off about Coach A on the boards when all you have to do is go talk to the man. Tell him of Riverdale's proud traditions and give him your opinions on how to get those traditions back. Maybe it will help and maybe it wont. At least you can say that you tried. I do not have any problems with you and dont even know you. I do enjoy our little conversations on here because in the least they are educated conversations. Now as to you not giving your $2000 a year to support the kids, yet another reason for me to disagree with you. Whether or not you agree with Coach A, me, or anyone else you should not pull your support of the kids. The kids is what it is all about in the first place.

Well Old Dad Im honestly not sure because I am not connected to Riverdale. However, typically players go for free as part of a school athletic function and parents pay their own way as well as other fans. As to your second question I again am not sure but I do not think Riverdale had any players sign. Glad you pointed that out. The talent at Riverdale is down.

If McSwain is as good as you all say he is, and if he is a football genius who was already on staff, then why is he not the new head coach......... I doubt Ingle begs anyone to stay. I am sure with his connections he will do just fine without having to beg anyone. I think Ingle will have a really good staff if he is allowed to use his connections. Im not trying to knock McSwain just asking why he wasn't given the chance if he is as good as you say.

Yes you were asking a question. However, you made it seem as if your opinion was that playing an Away Away series was stupid on Coach A's part. To me this is bashing. Again, get the facts then do your thing. Also, just making a comment not kissing up to anyone.

You should find out the details before you say it's not too bright. Some reasons Coach A may have scheduled this game include: good competition, chance for kids to experience a big game away from home, and the obvious....money. If it is away and away then I am sure Riverdale has guaranteed money coming from the gate. All I am saying is get the facts first then do your thing (bash him on everything he does).

My guess is that Fork heard from Spoon about BR and FR. Really getting interesting here. If BR turns down Centennial who ends up there? Who does the new guy at Ravenwood keep on staff and who does Summitt get for the first staff there?

So Rec is not quite the HC at Centennial even though news 2 said it was confirmed. Fork says BR and FR are whispering. Why would BR think about FR and as what position?

Im not puckering up to anyone. Im also not knocking a guy that has led his team deep into the playoffs the last two years. If you feel so strongly go up to warrior drive and talk to the man. See what he says and see if you can talk to him face to face instead of spouting off at the mouth on here about him. You do all of this talking but the problem is you will not do anything other than that. If you want to help instill the traditions of the past teams go to the man and tell him of the past traditions and try to help him.

At the beginning there were actually three. However, two of them seperated themselves from the other. The two stayed neck and neck and never could beat the other out of the position. Both had strengths and weaknesses.

Keep whining! Coach A isnt going anywhere.

Overton loses most of their starters on both sides of the ball. Next year will be a long....year for the bobcats.

Overton is not the job it once was. When I went to Overton we were thought of as being the best non magnet metro school for academics. Our athletic teams were supported by Dr. Hammond and Wayne Parker. It was a great situation. Fans supported their teams. Overton is still one of the better jobs in Metro but it is no where near what it has been before. Most everyone I graduated with now lives in Mt. Juliet, Franklin, Hendersonville, or Murfreesboro. My how the AHS rivalry has changed too. Not too many tea sippers or farmers left. As to the rumor......same one has gone around the last three to five years. Overton has had a good couple of years but they do not have anything coming back. Now would be a good time for him to get out. Who would be interested if he were to step down?

Old Dad---Thank you for your services as well and hopefully your son and others will not have to go into Korea. Things seem to be getting pretty ugly over there and quickly. If I am who you are referring to in your post saying a current assistant then you are wrong about me. I dont have a dog in this fight. I just love high school football. I have no relation to Riverdale or Coach Adeylott. I do live in Rutherford County and have taught at Siegel Middle but thats about the only connection there. If you are referring to someone else then its a moot point. Also, if you were referring to me then I am not trying to run you off the board.
