  1. Unless I'm mistaken--and I don't think I am--Temple JV also lost to Grace last year.
  2. Grace won the game 10-0. I believe that Grace plays again on Tuesday at 5:00. I'm not sure who.
  3. I think you're wrong about TFP and their attitude toward Temple. It appears to me that all Chatt. media outlets have been pretty enamored with Temple. Maybe you know something I don't.
  4. Wow. I'm from Wyoming County, WV, and now live in Chatt. I never figured I'd see teams from home discussed here. It's a small world. I'll have to pull for the guys from Matewan.
  5. There was some sort of rumor floating around for a bit, but both are in school at Grace this year.
  6. Herman and Church are not playing football for Grace this year.
  7. It's not the spelling. It's the creative (?) punctuation--or lack thereof. I think he means to say that Temple has some basketball players who are going to be playing football in a couple of weeks. He believes that these basketball/football players will make a big difference in Temple's performance in future games. Is that how you see it?
  8. What are you talking about? /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" /> Are we in a time warp?
  9. Did anyone see the JV game played on Monday evening? I heard the score, but don't know anything about the game.
  10. I don't know anyone at the school, but there was an article in the Chatt. paper about the team. I keep watching to see when they win one. Go, RBS! I'm for you.
  11. I would not mind being called Banjo Boy. I think it's been pretty well established that one can be something worse than a "hillbilly." The evidence is right here on this thread.
  12. Most of the key players for Grace are young men who have been there for years--since they were little guys. They are making their school proud.
  13. It looks as if the emphasis should be on "maniac." Stop and think before you say anything else to embarrass yourself and your friends.
  14. I have to say, dadoffour, you asked for it.
  15. Well, that's interesting. Thanks for your input.
  16. I have always wondered (well, since they became a school) how Silverdale figures themselves to Seahawks. They are miles from the nearest sea. Anyone have a clue? My county in WV had six high schools. Only one was an animal; the rest were human mascots: Minutemen, Rebels, two Indians, Rough Riders, and the Owls.
  17. Actually, you've said it twice already, and it's getting annoying.
  18. There aren't a whole lot of them older than Temple.
  19. I'm not from Temple, but for whatever it's worth, Chip Kell is quoted in a Times Free Press article as the head coach at Temple. (This is on Tuesday, Jul. 31.)
  20. Pretty much same old stuff. Pretty entertaining, though.
  21. It's right amusing to read all of this now, isn't it?
  22. It's all a matter of semantics. I know what the people are saying about a "small town feel." I came from such a town, and it is very exciting. But no one can deny that at this point in time, Chattanooga is dominant in single A basketball. I think the intent of the original post was to put an end to the people from other places having so much negative stuff to say about Chattanooga. We're just looking for a little well-deserved respect. It's very exciting, even in a large town like Chatt. (and we are a large town, not a city) to have two of our teams in the championship game. I'd love to be there, but can't. The only problem would be who to cheer for.
