  1. Final Pre season game for both teams. What can we look for out of both teams?( lets try to keep this topic on the game and not from the games next week )
  2. A win for MBA would be a HUGE start to the season. Its going to be hard with the loss of Tompkins. I wish the best of luck to MBA. Make Tennessee proud
  3. I want to go ahead and say im sorry for getting WAY off topic with this post, but I felt that I needed clear something up for Father Ryan. Me like most people thought Father Ryans enrollment had gone down so I asked someone who is " In the Know" at Father Ryan about why it had gone down. The way they put it is this: The school is built to hold 100 students, BUT they are staffed to hold a little over 900. The only downside to this is they have in a way over enrolled and have over 900 students so they had to make a waiting list until either people leave or they can bring in more teachers.
  4. Im with JP2Fan lets try to keep this topic a little more on the game and a little less on who is talking more trash . Anyways less than 2 weeks a way from the big game. I know Father Ryan has thier final scrimage against Ravenwood this week. Who is JPII playing in week 0?
  5. # 22 is a guy named Ben Thomas. He played very well and cause a lot of trouble in the back field. As for AB...if you go back and read a post talking about a full back trying to blind side a Father Ryan player and getting laid out. The person he was trying to blind side was AB.
  6. Last I heard it was 5 at Father Ryan next Friday...that may of changed though so if anyone knows the time and place PLEASE post it
  7. I happened to catch a little of the scrimage....and all I can say is I dont know what Coach L did to those players over one week but WOW that Defense was impressive. The first string (or what I take was the first string) Shut them down and gave up only one big play...but that was for only 10 yards. They also laid down some big hits. Very impressive showing by the D. On the other side of the ball though things did look better. They look like they are really starting to click. Cant wait to see the scrimage next week against Ravenwood...should be a very good test for the Irish.
  8. I saw about half of the scrimage, and it just looked like Father Ryan lacked a big play maker. They were unable to move the ball very well with both the run and passed. If Father Ryan is going to have a winning season someone is going to need to step up and make some plays for them.
  9. So we know who JPII's stars are, but who is going to show up big for old Father Ryan
  10. Im glad to hear Ross will run, I saw him running a light work out on Monday and wondered if they would use him. I agree with you 100% that if he would of stayed healthy he would be in the top 3 of both and making a strong run at the State Champ. in both the 110 and 300
  11. BA has a girl that jumps 5'8 and i saw in one of the Pentathelons a girl jumped 5'10 and almost got 6
  12. Hurdlers: Ben Davies-BA Rich Tompkins-MBA Kevin Carney- Ryan All of them can go sub 15, Tomarows race should be a VERY good one. Also look for Andrew Croyle from McCallie to compete. All four of them are comming off of the Decathelon though so it will be who was able to recover the best. As for High Jump it is very close, the highest qualifying mark for state was 6'4(stovall) and then a hand full at 6-6'4. But the top 3 would go something like this: Isaac Stovall-Ryan Michael Newman- Briarcrest Reed Blackwell-MBA( he is comming off a stress fracture though) You could also add in Bo Knox from BA into the mix
  13. A big Congrats to BA for winning both guys and girls regional champ. They must of just completely dominated the running, and they did it without one of their top runners (Ross). I know I picked MBA to win earlier but if the whole BA team can run as well as they did at regions I think they can take it all.
  14. McCallie is looking very good this year but MBA is looking the strongest. They put up over 100 points alone in field events and 2 mile yesterday at Regions. I would say MBA wins followed by BA or McCallie
  15. I saw in the paper today that Ayers jumped 14'6 and Snyder from MBA jumped 14 as well.... Cant wait to see the Great 8 Pole Vault I think it will be the highlight of the night.

  17. I have heard a lot of positive things are going on within the Father Ryan football program, and I wanted to know how the Father Ryan fans think they will do next year. Also who are going to be the key players. Try to keep this topic strictly to Father Ryan football. Everytime I see a topic about them it is usualy over run with talk of JPII, MBA, ect.
  18. I think if McCallie can preform how they did at Mid State they will win, they were very impressive
  19. MBA has 2 guys who can jump 13 and one who is getting close
  20. Who all is going to be there this year, and any early predictions or people to watch?
  21. I know one way to get on is to go to one of the high school combines. They test you in the regular combine drills. Another way is to go a major scouting camp.
  22. With Brandon Wright gone next year, will BA have what it takes to make it 5 in a row? Or will another team rise to the top. I know its pretty early to be making predictions but what the heck, who will be raising the Gold Ball next year?
