Are you Riverdale people serious? There is no way to judge your team from that game last night. Antioch is just not that good. If from what I hear is true about Hendersonville, you all might get thumped next week. Last night's game, as I mentioned in an earlier post, was going to get out of hand, and it did. Antioch is in for a very very long season. They don't even have a kicker. Riverdale was not impressive either, just benefitted from the lack of athleticism on Antioch's team. They can't even tackle well. Don't get your hopes up.

Are you serious, the only shock will be how bad this team is. This shows you what happens with the addition of more schools. Riverdale is going to stomp a mudhole in Antioch. IMO, there are only two winnable games on the schedule, and Cane Ridge is not one of them. 2-8, maybe 3-7. Anything above that is pushing it.

Riverdale will win very big in this game. Antioch is not very good. Their line is little, their backs don't hit the holes, their receivers are timid. Antioch is in for a long season, and from what I hear there is not much in the cupboard. I have heard that they have less than 20 players on the 9th/10th grade(yea, Metro has a freshmore league) team. How long will Woodward hang around on Hobson Pike? All the athletes are up the street at Cane Ridge.

The only talent over there is Josue Brown. Corley will be lucky to make it out of the region, he ain't his brother. Lillard's little brother, who is he? They had that 189 that wasn't bad, otherwise the cupboard is bare. They have graduated most of the team that placed 2nd in their region. It's rebuilding time. If I were Josue, I would find a way to a metro school with a decent team and stable coaching. E. Lit, McGavock, Antioch would love someone of his caliber. It's open zone now, find a class your school doesn't have.

I'm sorry, I had to ask the question. I wanted to watch some rasslin and went to see the region 7 matches at Glencliff(was close to the house). Was watching Antioch v. Hunters Lane, i don't quite remember the weight class, but the Antioch wrestler shoots a double leg and is about to take down the Hunters Lane wrestler. Not sure how it happened but Hunters Lane fell out of Antioch's hands and rolled over his own shoulder. The ref called an illegal slam. Now this is where it got interesting. Hunters Lane coach told his wrestler to not get up. As I was watching, the coach asked the ref if he would get the points if his wrestler could not continue. It was funny cause teammates were telling him not to wrestle, parents in the stands said he would get 6 if he couldn't go on, and before injury time was up, the wrestler told his coach that he could not go. Understandable if he could not go, but immediately after the match, the young man was jumping around cheering on his teammates. I could see Antioch's coach was upset, and of course the match came down to the six points that were awarded for the default. Is this a way to win? Of course in the final match against Glencliff, the injured wrestler goes out and gets a win by pinfall. Wow! Best of luck to both teams, in my opinion, Antioch got jobbed by Hunters Lane coach. I am one for sportsmanship, win it on the mat. A wrestler battles. That is what makes them the athletes they are. Best of luck to the region 7 reps as they move on.

Metro is in violation of TSSAA rules allowing this young lady to coach. A sub is a non faculty person. Only way she would be considered faculty is if they are holding a job for her at the school, which also is a violation of metro schools.

The recent graduate/substitute is the head coach, a campus security guy is the asst. coach. How is this possible under TSSAA rules.

So how can a substitute teacher be a head coach then. I have heard that in Nashville, a school had a coach before she graduated from college, and she isn't even an employee at the school, is this not breaking TSSAA rules. If you must know, it is the second largest school in the state.

He probably got shut down, Antioch did it with D the other night, there will be no D11 representation in the substate this year. Antioch and Maplewood in the region finals, and to the state. Its bold but watch what happens.
