I don't know about black and red. But black and orange is not hated as much as they are respected by purple and gold, even though it may seem like it. It would mean way more for Seq to beat SP for obvious reasons. I am elated to see SP is back on the schedule. I wished the whole SVC teams would be what it once was years ago.

I'm not condoning what coaches do but, TSSAA has put the coaches in a box by putting overall record the most important part of seeding for playoffs.

I agree with you, I just don't think all the Praise goes to coach Price as Jam mentioned. Having good assistant coaches and above average talent will make a good Coach look even better. Especially if the coach will let his coaches coach which Coach Price no doubt does. And it goes the other way as well, if your asst. coaches are sub-par and the kids are not coachable, then it looks bad on the Head coach. Is it fair? No. But that the way people look at things. I think most coaches put the best eleven players on the field with the exception of a few but, some coaches choose to put players with leadership on the field over talent as well.

Pains me to say this but, Goodpasture got to the finals so they had to be pretty good. I agree Indian Pearl-Cohn was no slouch.

I guess we have found someone close to Price if not himself. If your games are boring schedule harder teams. If Coach Price is the end to all ends, why didn't he win championships at the other schools he coached? Yes Coach Price is a good coach but, Sm has some goods atheltes for him to coach. "I will say that Price is a grow your own man": come on what are you trying to sell? Nothing against Whitwell but, let him coach there two or three years and see if he wins a Gold Ball. TCA was not bigger than SM either. The only thing BLOWIN IS YOU.

You can't win Indian, if SM would step back and look they would be able to see where the animosity toward them stems from. I don't think Sm was trying to avoid Alcoa per-say, I think it was 3A all together. Sm will not be State Champs next year unless.................

Condratulations South Pitt once again on a fine season and well deserved Gold Ball. I saw were Sp will be playing Sequatchie Co. next year, it's about time. I'm just sorry my son will not get to play y'all as he is a Senior. Good luck next year.

I got your back conerback10, I agree Cobb is a talented player but if Moore had Bray all season both would be better than Cobb. If they will coach Bray correctly, bye his junior year he will be a stud and IMO better than Peyton.

I didn't say our backs weren't good, they were the best in the valley. If you were to ask anyone of them they would tell you they couldn't have done it without them. I don't care if you run the wing T or wish bone if the lineman don't stay on their blocks you don't have 3 backs gain that many yds period. Our QB last year was better than Cody or Travis (IMO) and while we did throw a little more and was more successful our offense was geared for the run just like Pikeville used to be. Having said that, we lost last year to York in the first round with a good QB. You have to have more than just a QB , you also have to have someone that can catch the ball too. Our best WR started 3 years at that position and after the third game he was converted to QB. He may not be the best thrower, but he ran the offense smootly and knew every play in the play book. I am proud of him since he wanted to quite after he fumbled late in the game at Central. I will take his leadership and his extremely hard work ethic over anybodys, and yes he is my son and I am proud he is. And one last thought, if given an option I would take SM's QB or CCS QB before either Travis or Cody hands down.

Except for SM and CCS, that looks like a schedule back in the day, way back Chad . Why now, when Shawn has no eligibility left, good to see SP back in the schedule. Also good to see a off week before SM it will be needed. I just got the Banquet schedule today, just me and meanness will be there. I expect to get some awards myself, warm ones .
