Both are nice awards, but while knowing about Coach Hirsch's success. I know very little about Andy Moore and Chris Smith. I imagine there are a lot of fans in the same boat, so if someone could brag on these two a little, I think it would be interesting.

Don't forget Houston! They moved up after finishing 2nd in D-II and could have made it a real battle for Ravenwood that year for D-II Championship and then after graduating a bunch of seniors, remained in D-I this past year. Although they were reloading some this year, I believe it will pay dividends for them in next few years. Simple fact is you get better by playing better teams. Also, Ravenwood may be young next year, but I don't think they will fall as far as many think.

MBA led 5-0 at half, but MUS came back to win 8-7 in OT. Very exciting game!

Congrats to McCallie! I should have learned never to underestimate them. At least at got one # correct. I was a CBHS fan from the first of the season and thought they were a much better team this year, which they were. They played a tough schedule and I was looking for them to be in the playoffs. I am also sure McCallie will be looking for revenge next week vs. Ravenwood.

D-2 Wildcard The D2 Wildcard Is West Knox v. Brentwood Webb Knoxville v. Laussane I'll go with Webb- Knox. West Knox seems to be playing better last couple of weeks and Brentwood was playing a little down before taking 2 week break. Too close to call. This should be another really good game!

Most interesting game, barring major upset, is tonight's McCallie/CBHS game at MBA. My guess is the Brothers 9 - 7

Pros and Cons for both Sanctioning with TSSAA, would make public schools have to provide coaches and fields, maybe equipment. So cheaper for a lot of kids (their parents). More kids get to play. Nothing wrong with that at all. What you may give up is the ability to hire a lacrosse coach that knows lacrosse. Many schools want teachers to coach, so teams may struggle with football coaches trying to learn lacrosse. It would be unlikely that a public school could take spring break trips to play in other states. Ravenwood playing Boys Latin probably does not happen. Seasons could be limited and off season opportunities with your coach prohibited. And just like in Soccer, you would end up having travel teams that formed their own leagues anyway. It helped our team to go to camps as a team and to play in a fall league. Long term, I think it will become a sanctioned sport, selfishly I think our "public school" (club) lacrosse team and the players benefited by not being under the TSSAA. But, my handle is not "BankofDad" for nothing. It is easy to spend a lot of $$$.

Is the MBA/Ravenwood game going to be webcast?

Hate to go negative!! Better to talk about underrated players that do not receive credit they deserve. Michael Kinsey, longpole, at Ravenwood gets less press than John Kho(who is very good), but quietly is one of the best defensive players I have seen.

I think anyone of those teams can beat the others if it is their day. I would switch MBA and Ravenwood on your list, particularly with Champ game at MBA field.

How are the West seedings going to work. With each team playing each other twice; is it the net difference in the scores of both games, is it the winner of the second game or the winner of the first game that determines the seeding. Currently I guess the predicted seedings would be; 1 MUS 2 CBHS 3 Houston 4 Father Ryan I know I would hate to be the #3 seed from the East and have to go through the Brothers this year to get into the Final Four.

Actually that is about right. There are 10 teams in D-1; five are ranked by Laxpower higher than Franklin, five are ranked below, so Franklin would be ranked 6th in D-1. I think that would be consistent with where the top team in D-2 would rank and looking back at previous rankings In; 2006 - Franklin (D-2 Champs) would have been rank #7 2005 - Ravenwood would have ranked 3rd 2004 - Cordova would have ranked 4th Fun comparing! Good Luck to Franklin in the rest of their games, that is except for one???

I have heard that MBA's stadium field is not a regulation size field. Is that true? If true what is the difference? Do any of the visiting players thinks it affects their play or is it a non-event? Not trying to start something, just curious.
