Fargut wins. That's what I think. And I agree with pepvol. Where erbody be these days? This thread is supposed to be 8 pages long by now with pointless arguing and hate for Farragut. I don't get it. I kind of miss it.

yeah I cant see, It won't let me watch using Safari. Guess that's what I get for having a mac, and not wanting to fool with windows and internet explorer... I'll have to watch the replay sunday.

Riverdale 6 Farragut 14 1st QTR Rule 60+yd TD run and 6yd TD run. 2nd TD was questionable, I didn't see it, but he fumbled as he crossed the goal line, they said TD, so no replay, means it's a TD Riverdale took opening drive down and scored, missed xp, Farragut had the long Rule TD, Riverdale threw an interception, Farragut scored 2 plays later on the short run.

It's not like we haven't lost on homecoming before.. *cough* *cough* Heritage in 2003. *cough*... their first win in 18 games I believe and only win in '03. They had 2 wins from '01-'03... oh lord. The fact that I still care slightly depresses me. Anyways. This should be a good game. I hope the Farragut site shows this one live. I'd love to watch it. I always wished we could have played Riverdale. Now we do, and did last year too.. I think it will turn out the same. Farragut just isn't as good this year as they have been the last few years. I think R'dale will win by at least 10. Sorry Ads..

I completely agree with the players needed to be fired up. I can use the same examples I used in my last post... I've seen it plenty of times. Mostly in playoff games. A lot of times once we go down 14 or 21, no matter how much time is left, it seems like everyone.. players and coaches both, seem to, I don't want to say give up because I know they don't.. at least not really, but it seems like they realize they don't have a shot, and the game isn't even fun to watch after that. Like I said, I don't want to say they give up, because I know the coaches and players work hard all offseason and all game, but it seems like they'll just slack off more. I don't really know a nice way to put it. And it seems like the team comes out flat to start games and it takes a qtr or half to get into it... And I'm not sure how much help I am going to be this year. having graduated in '07, I can't say I know too many players on the team. Plus, being in Idaho right now, go Boise State! Who said they had no chance against Va Tech?.. anyways, being 2100 miles away, I'm not sure how much help I'm gonna be. All I have to go on is watching the replays on the Farragut website, and text updates from games.. sorry? actually, I'm sure most of you will be glad I won't be on here as much, mostly because I'm negative, and ramble on, like right now.

It's been that way for awhile now... at least since I can remember. I've been saying it for years now as well. They just simply don't make changes.. or if they do, it's way too late to make a difference. Then the next game they go right back to what they were doing before, instead of keeping the changes... Why do you think we always lose in the playoffs by more pts than when we originally played the team in the regular season... in most cases of course. And yes, we do beat teams in the playoffs that we already played in the regular season, but those teams are usually inferior anyways. I am talking about when we play a better team again. The outcome is usually worse.. Because we go in with the exact same gameplan, and the opposing coaches know it.

What's happening in East Tennessee? It seems I'm missing all the good stuff.. Oak Ridge fans arguing with each other, Farragut beating Oak Ridge with an average at best team. I should not live there longer. It can only get better right? (minus the fact that Farragut lost tonight against Knoxville Catholic...)

Ihavenoidea, see what I did there?, what Farragut has. I don't pay attention to sports in their offseason. Whether it be college, pro, or high school. Die hard during the season, don't care in the offseason, because none of it matters until they are actually playing the game. Players can be good all they want in the offseason and get some hype up, see basketball's Rocky Top League, but it only matters when the real games start. So like I said, I don't care when it's the offseason. If you want to see someone show off how good they can be instead of how good they are, be my guest. What I mean by that is, take for example the Rocky Top League. Yeah you can score 30pts a game and have ridiculous dunks when no one is playing defense against you and half the point of the league is to show off anyways.. But people need to learn not to actually expect that when the season rolls around. I know football is a little bit different, but I don't really think there is too much to take away from scrimmages either... anyways... Will be hard for me to keep up with Farragut this season. I won't be in TN to go to games or anything. Maybe their website will show the games again and hopefully there will be a few people pop up on here to keep us informed.

I thought the point of being a good pitcher is so that you WILL pitch in the tough games? It doesn't say a lot about a kid who only wins against terrible teams. He may throw 90mph, but walking 5ppl and hitting 3 ppl a game isn't exactly what a team looks for in a pitcher. Speed doesn't mean anything if the kid can't throw strikes and win when it counts. Clearly he doesn't win when it counts, because he is never in when it counts. How Norris is rated above Pfeifer is unbelievable. Pfeifer is like 40-3 in 3yrs, Norris is what? 26-1? Pfeifer has led his team to 3 state titles, pitching in 2 of them I believe.. I think Ramsey pitched in the title game his fresh. year? Either way, Pfeifer was the "Ace" that year, and last year, and this year. Norris has been to state twice at least, but does he have any wins @ state? You will have to let me know. Yes, Pfeifer has better talent around him which def. helps, but Pfeifer has won them plenty of games purely because of his pitching... Like against Houston, a 1 hitter with 14 Ks in the state championship game? He also had a 4 hitter I believe against one of the best teams in Florida and had 16 Ks in the game (Farragut won 2-0). So, like I said. What exactly has Norris done?

update on game 2 between Farragut/Collierville?

Why is that? Because I said they didn't accomplish their goals? If this was college football, and tennessee was supposed to win the SEC, and have a shot at the title, and they didn't do it.. What would everyone be saying? What an awesome season they had being 8-4? No. People would be saying wtf.

nothing to be ashamed of? No offense to anyone, but their goal was to win state and go undefeated and win a "national title"... They didn't accomplish that. To me, and some of their players, that would mean the season was wasted. If you don't accomplish your goals, you can't say you had a successful season. Yes, they were 24-1 and ranked in the nation, but there is no trophy, and no "mythical national title". end of story. Yes, they were playing without 4 starters. 2, I am not sure why? Newby made a stupid mistake apparently last game and got a red. I wasn't there, so I don't know what happened, but there is no excuse to be up 4-0? and throwing a punch, that arguably cost your team the next game.

any details? For some reason I have the feeling Norris didn't pitch for SH? Not saying that because MJ won, just based on the amount of wins he has this season. Seems like he has to have at least a week's rest?

curious as to why he only has 7 wins this season? Atleast that's what the knoxville news sentinel said.. If he is that amazing, why doesn't SH pitch him more?

read on the KNS website that Delmonico's "HR" may not have been? Then got home from work this morning and saw the highlights on rerun... just watching the highlight, to me, it didnt look like a HR. But it was kind of hard to tell. But, it looked like it hit the wall, not the batter's eye, or whatever you call it.
