Anyone know how the tournaments go? once you get to regionals what's it look like from there

the game winnin goal was scored by amer sultan(spelling). he was a player who didn't start and hasn't played a whole heck of a lot of playing time but when he was called to go in for an injury he went in prepared to play. the game was a hard fought battle and probably one of the most exciting to watch. many chances for goals. shelbyville had two goals called back at the start of the game. one for offsides and the other for a foul on a corner kick. Roper kept tullahoma in the ball game. he made some incredible saves. michael taylor also played well in the goal for shelbyville. by far one of the most intense games i've seen in my high school career. i wouldn't mind seeing tullahoma again before i leave for college. games like that make soccer worth while.

Bearden is a team that waits for you to make a mistake. i believe that if farragut makes even one mistake in the defense bearden will catch it and take advantage. we played bearden and we made just five mistakes in the defense. the score was 5-0. my prediction is bearden 3-1

my opinion on the scrimmages we have played is that they can't really show anything. we've played 3 30minute periods in which we sub in the younger players throughout. varsity doesn't really see the field after the first thirty minutes. how does this help a coach or more importantly how does it help a team to get the feel for a real game. these scrimmages determine close to nothing. it's in the later part of the game where u find out what a team is made of. who's got more stamina and who's willing to give it the extra push when they are worn out and ready to call it quits. the coffee county tourney was ridiculous. they were twenty minute games. the semi finals and finals were two ten minute halves. what good does it do a team to play these short games? they don't get the opportunity to push themselves that final twenty or so minutes. so what good are these scrimmages unless you play them with a more realistic time span

the sophomore is seth jamison. he plays for the u-18 team also. the two freshman are good tho. they are looking at some quality varsity play. there's alot of young talent on this team. watch for freshman defenseman zach thompson in years to come. there is also sophomore forward named jose.

Riverdale won by 17 this time shelbyville won by i think 17 the first game, and shelbyville will put them out of the region just like they did last year

I am a tssaa certified ref..i also play high school boys soccer..the main thing that needs to happen is more refs dealing with fans..they allow for way too much vulgarity and profaness while reffing a match..if someone decides to run their mouth about a game and refuses to stop then either kick them out or go hand them a rule book with the tssaa link and tell them to go get certified and ref the games themselves..i believe that would shut them up..i used to complain about the refs until i began reffing rec league which contains less contact then high school..i now realize refs do the best they can in their positions and keep my mouth closed and play the game..if u hear about certain schools needing refs during this girls season or select ball then my email is marcus_cooke@hotmail.com and i would love to help.

i agree with most of your rankings but i think shelbyville will finish better than tullahoma this year and be district 8 champs....they only lost one starter and have in my opinion on of the best starting 11 in the state

I did see this play..i was playin defensive back at the time for shelbyville..the two players that u said saw it as a drop kick..remind urself of where they were at..which was BEHIND gordon..we did not high five each other after the play..i remember exactly what happened..we pulled the team to the center of the field away from the keeper..i believe u need to recount what actually happened before u decide to post comments that are supposed to make the shelbyville team look dirty..the only cheap shots that ever come from shelbyville were generally made in retaliation to the shots given by the other team..maybe you should step back and look at the actual situation before jumping to conclusions..the game is in the past..we will see you next year..

ooltewah isn't the toughest team in the world..if riverdale beats cookeville then they can take ooltewah..we(shelbyville) beat ooltewah in overtime..the only real threat ooltewah has is number 11..the boy is all district for sure..maybe all region..don't stab or he will blow by u..shut him down and riverdale will take it..this is if ooltewah can beat McMinn..
