  1. shims, i dont know what you're talking about. I watched both mackabee and haydek beat crist earlier this season in practice.
  2. Last year it was those three plus drew kerr and timmy cooper i think
  3. I'm quite surprised that no one (aside from those who go to webb) seems to be giving Webb any respect this year. I understand that Webb is not traditionally as strong as McCallie and Baylor, but this year they have a chance to make a deep run. Webb lost no players from last year, they still have David Parks, Taylor Crist, Tadd Hatcher, Reid Walling, Chris Haydek and Greer Mackabee.
  4. Webb beat THS 6-0 today, winning all 6 singles matches.
  5. i would blow a load on this team so quick i hav never even heard of these suckers
  6. I agree, I've seen both Chris and Ian play before and I think Chris has the edge. However, if Ian comes ready to play out of the blocks and Chris is sluggish, the match could easily swing the other way.
  7. Division II Singles Scores
  8. The TSSAA website says Davis pulled out for injury.
  9. Prediction: Christopher Williams def. Kyle Wishing 6-3, 6-2 in the State Championship. Assuming they don't play earlier, and both get there.
  10. Just wondering, what would Siegel's lineup be at full strength with singles and doubles?
  11. I asked Mackebee today at practice and he has never played, and certainly has never lost to Siegel's number five. Mackebee has been coming off an almost devastating wrist injury that kept him away from tennis for nearly four months. If he got to play some of the same players at full strength it might swing the other way, but until then we can't really know. The way I see it, your number 5 split sets with Bearden's, who I have seen play and would not put on the same level as anyone in Webb's top 6.
  12. How soon we forget... Mackebee beat Edwards, who I believe is Siegel's #3, last year at the Carter Invitational. It just shows that, within reason, any players from good teams can beat eachother on any given day. Not knowing Siegel's number 5 player, I don't know if he would beat Mackebee or not, but based on his results with Bearden, I would have to doubt it would happen.
  13. Tomorrow Webb plays Mcallie at Webb... predictions? Lineups as far as i know Webb 1. Taylor Crist 2. David Parks 3. Tadd Hatcher 4. Reid Walling 5. Chris Haydek 6. Greer Mackabee Mcallie 1. Charlie Ramsey 2. Tariq Ismail 3. Wes Nelson 4. Mark Pare 5. David Henry 6. Alex Harris
  14. To clear things up, McCallie does have a player from Zimbabwe. His name is Tariq Ishmael, and hes plays at number 2. Also, im not sure anyone has said, but surprisingly enough, mcallie beat baylor 5-4 in a practice match about a week or two ago. Even more surprisingly, Charlie Ramsey beat Bo 4,4, by coming to the net every point. Wow, thats the nicest i've ever talked about McCallie.
  15. Parks lost to Onken not Jimmy Epps, it was reported wrong online at the Baylor tournament. What about Taylor Crist? or Tadd Hatcher? I see there is no reply for Hunter haha.

    Kyle who?

Why is Kyle Wishing the topic of every "Best Player in the State" forum. He is arguably the most overrated player of all time in the state of Tennessee. It is the biggest joke for him to be called the best player in the state. He isnt even in the top 10 best players in the state. He plays in a weak division with weak players. Webb's top 2 could easily take care of him. I wish we could have played him. Baylor's top 3 could take him and McCallie as well. Not to mention MUS. And BEARDEN of course(that a baby Hunter). So he is the most overrated player ever.
