You know all this whining and complaining over something that, yes may have some flaws in it, but the system has been known for a while. Teams and districts get stronger one year, then maybe weaker next year...oh well it is what it is. And besides, "If you want to be the best, you got to best the best!" Whether that is round 1 or the finals, it doesn't matter. You are not the champs till you win them all!

101.5 out of Jackson is also going to carry the game I think. They were saying something about it this afternoon.

Your are correct! The two teams combined to have 50 fouls called on them! That is more than any other game of the tournament. I think the next closest total was 38 (not totally sure about this). These two teams were both really good. Oliver Springs' Kayla Christopher is a GREAT player! She totally carried them offensively! I think Trinity's girls got a little rattled at the end when they started losing player because of fouls. TCA has a GREAT team. No real stars, just great team basketball. They had a wonderful season! The school's first region championship, 1st sub-state win, 1st trip to state. Nothing to be to upset with that record. I would really have enjoyed seeing TCA and Gleason play...would have been a great game! Girls you represented your school wonderfully! You only lost to 1 single A team all year, and that team will end up state champion or the runner-up!

Defense, Rebounding, Smart Playing! A few too many turnovers, but with the rebounding effort I give you that! Lady Lions outrebounded Collinwood something like 42-15! Very good job girls! Everyone keep sending up prayers for Coach Ken Northcut and his family...some really tough times this year. Whatever happens next, we are all so proud of you and the girls! Let's see, last year TCA won it all. TCA lost 1 outfielder and their shortstop. TCA has their great pitchers back, with more experience. TCA gets a great infielder back who missed last season with a knee injury. TCA has plenty of outfielders to replace the one they lost....I think TCA has a good chance to repeat. However.....it has been said many times that sometimes repeating is more difficult than getting it the first time!

I had my doubts because of their age, but am glad to see TCA Lady Lions are state champions!!!!!! No I do not teach Chemistry at TCA my friend. Not yet at least....but I do teach in the science dept there...and yearbook!

Rumor has it that CA's top pitcher is hurting a little. Don't know if it is just a little aching or if it is some real hurting. TCA's top pitcher had a sore shoulder the other night in the loss. After pitching through this tournament, it looks like both teams are not going to be 100% at the pitchers position. TCA is a VERY young team, only 2 seniors with several sophs, freshmen, and at least one 8th grader. Haven't heard as much about CA, but if they are heavy on jrs. and srs. that experience may be the difference. Other than that, these two are very evenly matched. Look for a great game.

TCA has outstanding pitching, so does CA. TCA could win the first game, but assuming they do, it will be very difficult to win two in a row. Should be some great games.
