  1. Good job Devils!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  2. Look at Heritage VS Alcoa, Maryville, William Blount. All from the same county. I hope CC can pull one out tonight. The kids deserve it!
  3. Thanks for the the compliment on Brooks. He's a hard nosed player that gives his all every game. He stays off this site during the season to stay focused on the game and his studies (3.97 GPA), but I'll make sure he gets the message. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  4. I think you'll see a different attitude on D this week.
  5. I'm telling ya right now wacofff, all BSing aside. Campbell County is gonna lay a hurting on ya. Not sayin I'm looking to see some guys get hurt. But you ain't seen nothing yet. He didn't send it cause he knew there wasn't nothing to it. Heck he had the head of officiating for East TN in his press box.
  6. Is that really your own picture on your profile to the left or just a close likeness?
  7. No one. Not Greeneville, Mo West, Campbell Co, Mo East, Cocke Co, or Karns. Interesting isn't it.
  8. Most coaches and some parents know who I am. I'm probably the loudest one in the stands. Can't talk till Sunday or Monday after a Friday night game. I assure you had I seen other fans telling you to stop cheering for the team there would have been issues. There are a few others like us that should sit together Friday. Let me know if your interested. One thing not mentioned about Friday. BEST OFFICIATED GAME I'VE SEEN IN YEARS!!!! COCKE COUNTYY WAS PRETTY GOOD CREW TOO. We all lost that game together. The players, coaches and we as fans. We (fans) did not do our part to keep the team in it. Momentum is a game changer and we as fans can help change it in our favor in a big way. We have to do our part!!! Coming this Friday... JC needs to get some intensity back. They need a battle cry if you will.
  9. Come on guys. Help the kid out. It just takes second. Thanks
  10. Two stands are nice unless you're at Queensport DB where the visitor stands begin at about the 10 and go to the same 35 yard line. Also very rickety. Someone moves and everyone feels it.
  11. I'm not the one crying about my boys getting roughed up.
  12. Hey ArtI'm-a-Gay, They say Steriods will make your bones weak, make you prone to injury. Saw where Betsy put a hurting on your "BOYS" too. HMMMMM. Anything to that?
  13. ""If JCHS keeps the turnovers down, then they win by at least 14. That's the only way teams have scored on us consistently all year. Even Greeneville couldn't score on us unless we turned it over, and Greeneville's offense is alot better than Karn's. If JC gives Karns good fields position, then it could be a long night, but after the way the Patriots played against CC, I don't think we have too much to worry about. JC'll be 4-3 after Friday"" Absolutely. Jeff must play a very physical game, have the take no prisoners attitude. Get out front early, keep Karns O off the field and concentrate on defense when needed. Time to pull out all the stops. Can say enough about the turn overs.
  14. David Amos of Grace Christian Academy would really appreciate your vote. He's a great kid and runs the ball really hard. 6 TDs, 16 carries, 190 yards; 3 rec, 62 yards vs. Coalfield Here's the link. Thanks http://www.knoxnews.com/news/prepxtra/player-of-the-week/
  15. DB must have been blessed with decent officials up to this point. Cause from what I saw it was about on par with the other games I've seen this year. If the officials' boss was there why didn't he step in and do something about it on the spot? And how does anyone think more officials is a better idea? I'm sure we would all like to see his comments on this issue. I didn't see the sign you're refering to. Was from the student section I'm sure, and if it said that, yes it was classless and in poor taste. I doubt any player or coach went up there with the intent to injure someone.
  16. If you haven't already, check out the TSSAA website. There is a link there for coaching positions as well as teaching requirements all over the state. Good luck. I hope you find what you're looking for.
  17. I think they make those announcements at the banquets.
  18. Never said they were over paid. It doesn't matter if they're paid $5.00 hr. Some, not all, don't do their jobs correctly, are unfair or biased, are there to be a deciding factor/create drama, or be the center of attention. And these guys need to go. I'm sure everyone knows of some that are like this. This is more the exception than the norm. Most do a great job and let the teams play, stay out of the way, and are fair. We need more like them. As far as pay goes. According to the attached link, 25 bucks hr is pretty good money in TN. http://www.payscale.com/research/US/State=...see/Hourly_Rate Or google pay scale in tn.
  19. Thanks for the reply. You have enlightened me and others I'm sure on just what is involved to officate a game. Meetings before and after a game, on field grading throughout the year by state superivisors, didn't know that about that either. As far as access to film, I'm sure the schools would provide it if asked. As far athe police escorts and parking , that was mentioned with tounge in check. That's the world we now live in. Even coaches need them from time to time. Bottom line is a lot of folks believe that the officiating seems to be getting worse every year and the powers that be (TSSAA) are not doing anything to improve the situation. Maybe I'm wrong. I hope so. Thanks again!!!
  20. Yes Refs should be held accountable. No one is perfect except for one and he's not here yet. These guys get paid over $25.00 an hour to call a game, free food, close parking and police escorts, have the best seats in the house, the least they could do is do their job right. We all get on here and talk about coaches, players, parents, heck even announcers and paper reporters by name but I have yet to see a ref's name mentioned. There have been several times that I thought the ref's have called a game fair even when we came out on the losing end and I would have liked to have given them credit. However, I usually do not pay attention when they announce the refs by name. Does anybody else??? Maybe we should. I know I will from now on. That way we as fans can give credit where credit is do, good or bad. If one ref gets a lot of positive feedback maybe it will work out for him in the long run with the TSSAA or they can call the championship games. (By the way, how do they pick for that) If one ref gets to many negatives maybe someone in power will have the kahunas to check it out. The officals are there to call the game in a fair manner, not to a make a difference or be a deciding factor. In several games this year this has happend. As long as we as coaches, fans, parents, etc... set back and do not speak up about these issues then nothing will be done about it. Nice job about taking the film to the TSSAA. More of that should happen. Aren't you concerned about retrobution next year???
  21. Actually NO!!! The kicker can have his plant foot across the line. As long as he does not miss the ball or not carry through with the kick he is not offsides. We argued this with the refs at the Farragut game and that what was how it was explained. And yes Refs should be held accountable. No one is perfect except for one and he's not back yet. These guys get paid over $25.00 an hour to call a game, free food, close parking and police escorts, have the best seats in the house, the least they could do is do their job right. 22. I'm not a Bearden or Smyrna fan. I just want to know when the TSSAA is going to start to hold Refs accountable for the sloppy and sometimes obvious biased play calling. These young men deserve better. The fans pay money to go to these games and they deserve better. What can we as fans and supporters do to make a change for next year?
  23. Banquet at 2:00 Sunday Dec 2nd at JCHS commons area.
