  1. Ravenwood tends to have at least one win a season that no one thinks they can. At least that was true in the Rector era, probably because of some gutsy play calling. I am not sure that is true now I just know in the past they would find a way to have at least a chance to win. I think Franklin will win this one I am just saying never count out the "other" wood. Being a Bruin fan for this week only I will be pulling for "other"wood but for sure hope its an injury free good game. Good luck to both teams!!!!
  2. I don't know if its just me but I don't think "Brentwood is very beatable" , Page, Centennial, and Fairview belong together in the same post one of these things just don't belong. Gee, I wonder what it could be???
  3. that was pretty mean dude I remember it wasnt very long at all when it was an automatic win against your team. You sure dont want to jinx your season.
  4. Ten points would have only given Brentwood a tie in that game they need 11 to win we lost 7-17.And I still disagree Brentwood had an incredible season after having to completely change their offense mid season. Its a fact they were 11 points from winning region and as I am sure Indy will agree does "amount to much". I don't think anyone can deny Brentwood getting their act together mid season and making a valiant run for the playoffs. And as far as the Siegel game that was a game we should have won but as what happened all season long the refs just couldn't seem to get it right but granted the game should have never been that close for one bad call to cost the game but it did. Last seasons working out the bugs was a hard pill to swallow but will be worth it this year. Brentwood is going to be very strong for several years to come they have lots of young talent coming up the pike with their JV and freshman records to prove it. I as I am sure most everyone here cant wait, 132 days to go!!!!!!!!
  5. My memory is that Brentwood was a mere 11 points from winning the game at Indy and having the number one seed that Indy had. A couple of ill fated turn overs by BHS and who knows Maybe BHS would have been the team getting to the big dance. And "didn't amount to much" please give me a break. What "didnt amount to much" was Indy's performance at state. With the talent they lost I think we will all see a real "not amount to much" season from Indy. I don't know how many BHS games you saw but trust me you have no idea what your talking about they had a fine season that any fan could be proud of. Listen your team went from being an easy win to a contender enjoy it but last season is over.
  6. I know this is a football forum but I have to give a shout out to the Brentwood Bruin Band. What a wonderful job they did on the CMA's tonight. Everyone in Tennessee can be proud to be represented so well on a nationally televised progam. And may I add the high school bands and Cheerleaders do not receive near enough credit for making the whole friday night expeirence as great as they do. Can you imagine a football game without those elements? How proud I was to see the band at the CMA's they did a great job as they always do!!!
  7. Guess we have had a different experience. Its not like sour grapes because we came away with the win. But in all my years of high school football Gallatin was the rudest fans. Trust me Indy your lucky to be playing in your own house!!
  8. You're out of your mind!! Indy fans are not missing a thing. That is the worse place ever to play a play off game at. The fans are very rude. The first they do is invade the visitor side. Its the only fans I know that do that and don't even say its because of spill over because it starts way before their own stands fill up its calculated. The only good thing about it is it backfired when we were there. It made it extra sweet to beat them in their own house. I know their rich in tradition and all that but their fans have not one more ounce of love than any other teams out there. I am glad they don't have a home game its really really rude what they do.
  9. Yes he was filling in for injured center and if I am not mistaken had never played this position he did a fine job considering. With the heads up playing of QB no harm caused.
  10. He did run it all the way back but he didn't need to all he had to do was fall on it and GAME OVER!!!! Bottom line the refs were horrific that goes without saying I am just very thankful the Bruins were able to come out on top because at the end of regulation they had put the most points on the board legitimately.
  11. If you watch the channel 9 version it takes Brentwood about 5 min. but they do get a replay that shows the player clearly signaling above his head no mistake about it.
  12. He may have been an excellant official at one time but with that blown call its time to turn in his whistle I know a good peewee level that could use an official. At least at the collegiate level they have instant replay to protect the teams from idiot, incapable, whistle happy, or not happy enough, refs. This issue is so far beyond a bad call. We ALL have seen a bad call on a weekly maybe even quarter basis that is where human error comes in, this call is a whole different level. I don't know if you were there but I am telling you the entire stadium both sides saw the fair catch signal EXCEPT the official WHAT was he looking at??????
  13. I didn't see the call your talking about two years ago BUT I cannot believe this bad no call on Friday is second worse to any bad call. When EVERY single person in the stadium including the opposing coaches, players, and fans know it was a bad call except for the IDIOT official you can't top that one I am sorry. This will go down in the history books. Every single one of the officials should lose their jobs because they are very obviously uncapable of officiating at this level maybe they need to go try their hand at some Blaze or cowboys football. They don't even need to be put down to the middle school level. If they don't send a letter of apology to the Varsity Football players on the BHS team they are even bigger losers than I already think they are. I know they are only human and everyone makes mistakes but there is NO excuse for a mistake this big and obvious. I am going out on a limb here I am sure some people will blast me for this comment but I am not sure the Franklin coach shouldn't have stepped up and corrected the official on something that OBVIOUS!! Some penalties happen so fast you need instant replay to see them this play that was not needed. Had Franklin have won no one would have truely given them credit for the win. Now if Franklin would have just tore up and won by plenty of points this would have been a non issue. Brentwood came VERY close to losing this game in OT that should have never gone to OT. Its very fitting their RB fumbled the ball and we recovered because it was OUR WIN, when the fourth quarter horn blew WE had scored more points than Franklin.
  14. Nice try they were booing one fan in the stands sorry that don't fly. All I can say is I hope you get a chance to see the replay of the game though I would totally understand you not wanting to but trust me I have already seen it the game came on at 11pm and it was horrific to say the least. I would hate to be that ref if Brentwood had not been able to pull this game out.
  15. Hey Buddy how ya doing??? Guess our offense didnt have too many holes and our defense was plenty good enough to beat your sorry team. BHS did beat RHS and now they beat FHS!!!!!!!!!! Our kids played with so much heart heck we played against 12 players all night. I sure hope the refs get fired because they were horrible but we over came and the better team came out on top as it should have been ... but hey maybe next time!!!!! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  16. Well I guess my post wasn't a stupid as yours now was it? I think my assestment was DEAD ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you win the award for most stupid poster of the season thus far. Please tell me everyone on your side of the field realized how Brentwood got robbed on that bogus touchdown the stupid refs made first quarter which by the way hands down is the worse call in the history of high school football. Those losers should feel way more stupid than you. And whats up with booing a hurt Bruin player as he hobbles off the field after laying on it??That was a first one for me as well. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  17. If you want to believe beating the last two teams you did by the margin you did "finding your offense" then you go on believing that. I am not getting on here saying Brentwood will beat Franklin because I just don't know. But I do believe Brentwood has things moving in the right direction and has improved each week. I believe if Franklin wins and they just might, the score will be within 7-10 points either way.
  18. I am curious how you are coming to the conclusion that BHS is going to get blown away? Ravenwood beat FHS 10-7 and BHS beat RHS 7-6. So how are you coming on here saying FHS will win by 24 or maybe more? I don't know maybe your right but I just don't see the logic.
  19. I agree with everything you said right on the money. You would be making a mistake to count them out just yet!!
  20. If we had had a couple of our starters it may not have been as close as it was. But we didn't and thats the way it goes.
  21. Have to congratulate the Stars on their win. It was a heart breaking loss for the Bruins in a close one. The Bruins had some great plays just came up one play short. Shake it off Bruins and get ready for region play against the Rebels.
