  1. Ravenwood tends to have at least one win a season that no one thinks they can. At least that was true in the Rector era, probably because of some gutsy play calling. I am not sure that is true now I just know in the past they would find a way to have at least a chance to win. I think Franklin will win this one I am just saying never count out the "other" wood. Being a Bruin fan for this week only I will be pulling for "other"wood but for sure hope its an injury free good game. Good luck to both teams!!!!
  2. I don't know if its just me but I don't think "Brentwood is very beatable" , Page, Centennial, and Fairview belong together in the same post one of these things just don't belong. Gee, I wonder what it could be???
  3. that was pretty mean dude I remember it wasnt very long at all when it was an automatic win against your team. You sure dont want to jinx your season.
  4. Ten points would have only given Brentwood a tie in that game they need 11 to win we lost 7-17.And I still disagree Brentwood had an incredible season after having to completely change their offense mid season. Its a fact they were 11 points from winning region and as I am sure Indy will agree does "amount to much". I don't think anyone can deny Brentwood getting their act together mid season and making a valiant run for the playoffs. And as far as the Siegel game that was a game we should have won but as what happened all season long the refs just couldn't seem to get it right but granted the game should have never been that close for one bad call to cost the game but it did. Last seasons working out the bugs was a hard pill to swallow but will be worth it this year. Brentwood is going to be very strong for several years to come they have lots of young talent coming up the pike with their JV and freshman records to prove it. I as I am sure most everyone here cant wait, 132 days to go!!!!!!!!
  5. My memory is that Brentwood was a mere 11 points from winning the game at Indy and having the number one seed that Indy had. A couple of ill fated turn overs by BHS and who knows Maybe BHS would have been the team getting to the big dance. And "didn't amount to much" please give me a break. What "didnt amount to much" was Indy's performance at state. With the talent they lost I think we will all see a real "not amount to much" season from Indy. I don't know how many BHS games you saw but trust me you have no idea what your talking about they had a fine season that any fan could be proud of. Listen your team went from being an easy win to a contender enjoy it but last season is over.
  6. I know this is a football forum but I have to give a shout out to the Brentwood Bruin Band. What a wonderful job they did on the CMA's tonight. Everyone in Tennessee can be proud to be represented so well on a nationally televised progam. And may I add the high school bands and Cheerleaders do not receive near enough credit for making the whole friday night expeirence as great as they do. Can you imagine a football game without those elements? How proud I was to see the band at the CMA's they did a great job as they always do!!!
  7. Guess we have had a different experience. Its not like sour grapes because we came away with the win. But in all my years of high school football Gallatin was the rudest fans. Trust me Indy your lucky to be playing in your own house!!
  8. You're out of your mind!! Indy fans are not missing a thing. That is the worse place ever to play a play off game at. The fans are very rude. The first they do is invade the visitor side. Its the only fans I know that do that and don't even say its because of spill over because it starts way before their own stands fill up its calculated. The only good thing about it is it backfired when we were there. It made it extra sweet to beat them in their own house. I know their rich in tradition and all that but their fans have not one more ounce of love than any other teams out there. I am glad they don't have a home game its really really rude what they do.
  9. Yes he was filling in for injured center and if I am not mistaken had never played this position he did a fine job considering. With the heads up playing of QB no harm caused.
  10. He did run it all the way back but he didn't need to all he had to do was fall on it and GAME OVER!!!! Bottom line the refs were horrific that goes without saying I am just very thankful the Bruins were able to come out on top because at the end of regulation they had put the most points on the board legitimately.
  11. If you watch the channel 9 version it takes Brentwood about 5 min. but they do get a replay that shows the player clearly signaling above his head no mistake about it.
  12. He may have been an excellant official at one time but with that blown call its time to turn in his whistle I know a good peewee level that could use an official. At least at the collegiate level they have instant replay to protect the teams from idiot, incapable, whistle happy, or not happy enough, refs. This issue is so far beyond a bad call. We ALL have seen a bad call on a weekly maybe even quarter basis that is where human error comes in, this call is a whole different level. I don't know if you were there but I am telling you the entire stadium both sides saw the fair catch signal EXCEPT the official WHAT was he looking at??????
