  1. Where did you get this information?
  2. I'd put Harper and Moore as co-MVP's like the NFL did with Manning and McNair a few years ago. Don't forget Moore had over 100 tackles again this season and made some really huge plays on defense as well as offense.
  3. Hey, freeacen. Isn't it ironic that Moore and Harper have all these great offensive stats and from what I hear are both being recruited for defense? That was some game Friday, I couldn't pick up the game inside a basketball gym so i called a friend at home who put his cell phone next to the radio so I could listen to Peabody/Milan last three minutes. WOW! What a victory! Good luck Friday against GP. We'll be pulling for you!
  4. No questions at all. No doubt Kendal Harper is a great young man as well as a great athlete. He and Harrison are actually friends. Harrison is a great kid too. Good student, ACT score in the 30's and well rounded too. I know both of these guys deserve the best. I believe Mr. Football is based on regular season performance and may have already been decided. Congrats to Kendal and Harrison as well as Randal.
  5. Harrison Moore '07 Regular Season Quarterback/Free safety 2087 all purpose yards 18 TD's 14-TD's rushing 2-TD's kick return (longest 93 yds) 1-TD punt return 1-TD off fumble recovery 39 pass completions out of 71 attempts for 671 yds with 1 int. 94 rushes for 712 yds for 7.57 yds per attempt 93 tackles 4 interceptions 2 forced fumbles 2 fumble recoveries (1 returned for TD) 2 tackles for loss 7 pass breakups Harrison looks pretty solid too!
  6. Good Luck to Camden. You guys are really tough and I wish you the best of luck Friday night from a Westview fan.
  7. I like your post and agree with you whole-heartedly. Lets hope everyone sees it this way.
  8. Trenton is 7-3 but I think they could have been 9-1. I wouldn't exactly call them a sleeper. I believe most people know that Trenton has a great team too. All teams have a bad game or let down sometimes and both of these teams know this is an elimination game. Should be a good one! Everyone drive safely from Trenton and don't forget, 7:00 instead of 7:30.
  9. I believe the hail mary was one of the plays were Moore scrambled around a little bit and Milan's DB's let the receiver get about 8-10 yards behind them. I don't believe that would qualify for a hail mary. Also, 2 missed field goals and one missed point after for Westview. Doesn't really matter now, however, if they had been made, Milan would have lost by one point. Milan looked great and they definitely have a great team. Just don't make things out to be something they are not. I am proud of the effort of both teams this year and hope they do well in the playoffs.
  10. Congrats to Milan. Guess the Jackson Sun was right about 2 things. Two players to watch were Gilbert from Milan and Moore from Westview. Gilbert accounted for over 1/2 of Milan's offense. Moore had over 400 all purpose yards and over 10 tackles on defense. It was a great game and both teams should be proud. Milan did beat Westview in the trenches tonight. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs. I have a feeling they will get to see each other again. Lets hope no one has any injuries. It was evident that Westview's starting center was missing tonight as well as their starting middle linebacker. Hopefully, they will be back after a week or two into the playoffs.
  11. You are right. We all were a little worried when HC marched down the field after taking the 2nd half kickoff and scored. Guess it mad the defense mad as that was all they got that night.
  12. I believe Henry County scored their one touchdown on the opening drive of the 2nd half too.
  13. Just a note of curiosity. Where and by whom has Westview been over hyped this year? The Jackson Sun? I think not. On the Ball Magazine? Haven't seen anything there about Westview since the pre-season issue. Gosh, you don't even see any big, hyped-up write-ups in the local Weakley County papers about this team. Just wondering what you are referring to in your post. Surely you don't consider 10 or fewer Westview fans posting on Coach T to qualify for over hyped.
  14. Looks like the weather is going to turn out OK afterall. Good luck to the Chargers tonight and I hope they take a big crowd with them to Humboldt. Be sure and get noisemakers if you don't have one so we can make some noise.
  15. I know everyone loves stats. As fieldgoal 1 pointed out, hope some of these guys will look at defense, kick-off coverage, kick-off returns and overall contribution to a teams success as a complete player and team leader. If that is the case, Harrison Moore should certainly be in the running for 2A back.
  16. I agree with this post. The big difference is Westview has been averaging over 38 points per game while Milan has been averaging just over 20. (I know this is a defense thread too)
  17. I believe Westview has an OK FB named Griggs. Hasn't he had a couple of those 100+ rushing games this year?
  18. Believe me when I say, "Not Everybody". Good luck Friday night.
  19. Don't know the stats. I know they have had several games with rushing totals close to 400 yards. They also have tons of all purpose yards with Legens and Moore returning punts and kickoffs. The special teams have created a lot of great field positions for the offense and Legens and Moore have combined for at least 5 returns (maybe even a few more) for TD's. Special team guys know how to block and create good running lanes. Total passing yardage is not that high, but there have been several key plays for third down conversions accomplished by the pass. Obviously, Westview does not focus on the pass nearly as much as the run.
  20. Any time you have a back like Cunningham, he could break a couple of long runs and end of with some pretty good rushing yardage, even against Westview. One of the big differences with Westview this year is that they are putting up some pretty impressive point totals. The '05 team with Markei Guy averaged 29.4 pts per game in the regular season. This years team is averaging 38 ppg. Balance pays and so does that big ole offensive line. Westview averages over 300 yds rushing per game this year but you don't see any of their guys listed as the top rushers.
  21. I agree. Camden is a very good team. Don't worry so much about these rankings. Not being ranked in the AP top ten (even though you should be) might work to your advantage when you reach the playoffs.
  22. First of all, #76 was not taking a swing at your player, he was frustrated about being pushed to the ground after the whistle had blown and he threw his hands in the air to show that he was himself stopping play and accidentally hit the player in the face. Secondly, you should ask, oh I don't know, probably all of your receivers about their lovely and continuous use of trash talk including the use of many four letter words. The stand-off in the huddle was after a blatant block in the back that prevented your QB from being smashed and was obviously one of many missed by the refs Friday night. Your post is what we have come to expect week in and week out over the last couple of years. Best for you to forget another humiliating loss and move on. I had my doubts last year about Milan's posts regarding USJ. After this year, those doubts have been eliminated.
  23. If I'm not mistaken, I believe mickeyryan may be a USJ fan.
  24. I wonder what Milan's average median score allowed per game is and the standard deviation of those scores? It might give us a better idea of their consistency on defense; ie, if the standard deviation is rather high, it could possibly mean that their low ppg is due to playing a couple of weak teams that could not score against them. Maybe some math wiz could run all these numbers for us. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
