2 reasons, first because it's their big rivalry game and they obviously had the jitters, and second because the only decent team they have played was AE and they weren't that good at the time!

We also lost Wagner *which is a yearly ritual* and Jock is having a hard time at QB, I'm not gonna lie I'm really worried about this game!!! But after watching Rogan last night I'm gonna have to go with us!! ;-p Our O line needs to start getting into the game earlier too though it takes them an entire half to do anything which pisses us off!! Well I know that the game was rowdy and loud so I don't think the ref could have heard anything, but that wasn't even what the call was on, it was the "push." That was one of the worst calls I have seen in A LONG TIME. I guess Catholic had more money then Webb ;-p

Definatly give Catholic credit they are GOOD!!! I couldn't help but read in the other forum for 4A that people are saying West and Maryville is gonna be "the game everyone is waiting for." When this game is done I'm sure it will be highly discussed, even in amongst recruiters!! Two juggernauts duke it out, two totally different schools both with monster lines and D's!! Man gotta love HS football!!!

lol I'm STILL trying to figure out how this is "the game everyone is waiting for." Is it because West is 3-0 in region play?? Congrats to West they might come out with a decent record this year!! I went to the West and Halls game and West's O looks nice but inconsistent, unlike Maryville which is VERY consistent. It all comes down to that, Maryville will keep putting the ball in the endzone and keep West from making big plays Maryville- 35 West- 7

Great post cougar! Let me say that just because Goodpasture hasn't lost and Alcoa has that doesn't reflect Alcoa's skill... Look at the teams they lost to!!! Fulton and Maryville that says it all right there. Those two teams have a good chance at taking the gold balls home! After watching Alcoa play I say they will win it again, but I have never seen Goodpasture play so I can't say for sure

It's not even close to time yet, in fact it will never be close enough until it's time for kickoff!! Let's go ahead and get this thread started though we know it's the game everyone is waiting for!!! This game is especially important to me because I went to one of the feeder schools to Catholic and started to go there, many of my friends go there but now here I am at Fulton!! I can't help but to have that Falcon Pride though. I say Rogan is a better football player!! If our line steps up our line is beastly. Our D is Vicious!! Fulton comes out on top by 6 in the best game this state has ever seen!!

Catholic doesn't "recruit players" they can't give a "scholarship" out unless the person is actually catholic! Harrison Smith is uber rich so he doesn't even need that money, he is super athletic because his daddy bought him the best of everything which is part of the game can't say I would'nt do the same in his shoes!! And AE definatly does not come out on the field just to hurt people, the only reason your saying that is because of the "gangstas" that go to the school and their reputation. I know most of those players and they are their to win not to kill anyone!!!

That was really cute but let me point out some things. First off I just want to say that your comment about the "Irish" being 1-2, you must be talking about Notre Dame??? Cause Knox Catholic Fighting IRISH are definatly 3-0!! Secondly you are talking about your team being better then ever, but so is Fulton and Catholic and AE is the potential they are just not clicking. I believe last year all I heard was Carter is going to blow out Fulton and I just laughed because your region and region 2 are not even comparable!! Look what happened last year, just to be real you all might have your untarnished record like you did last year but when you get around to playing a region 2 team your aspect will change!! Hate to break it to you all but that's the truth, region 2 is simply a whole different level!

Another post about how bad Rankin stinks.... Well he doesn't sorry he is rated #3 in the state so obviously he doesn't stink your just not used to playing another good team like Fulton. The only reason it got out of hand last year was because of the situation in school. If Alcoa moved up to 3A it would be tougher on you all cause you got Fulton and Catholic to contend with. Not saying Alcoa doesn't have the ability to play with them cause they definatly are good and can play with any team!! Maybe you all should try and humble yourselves a little bit your not unbeatable ;-p

lol, I assume your from West TN cause of that cocky attitude and mouth ;-p To say the "play makers" were the ones that lost the game for Alcoa is ridiculous. If a team has a solid defense, then what can ONE single person do?? Regardless, it was one heck of a game and both teams looked solid and BOTH will go on and win state in their classes. And as for the comment about East TN 2A being week, that might be so but East TN 2A sure does bring home that Gold Ball alot ;-p

I am not sure what football game you watched last night but it was not the Alcoa game. If you had any clue about what you were talking about you would know that BOTH defenses were putting some serious pressure on BOTH offenses. So do you really think they had time to just chill in the backfield and throw a pass???? How many times did Cobb have to run in order to keep Alcoa alive?? The only thing that got us the W is that our O line REALLY stepped up in the second half and gave Rogan the ability to run and Jack the ability to pass. Rankin did very well and since apparently you weren't present at the game I'll give you a quick summary of last nights game. Basically after Sykes ff on Jock it was a defensive gridlock for the entire half until our line stepped up. Alcoa's D held us well for awhile but got worn down. If you wanna watch the game I think it's On Demand ;-p As for the comment made by someone earlier, your right the boys on the line don't get any credit, and they deserve all the credit in the world!! Goodluck to Alcoa bring that gold ball home to East Tennessee!!

Well, I gotta say that I was worried about this game and what the turn out was gonna be. After that forced fumble and touch down *like Brandon Warren did last year* I thought we were in for a long night. But I guess we got straightened out. My question is just how good are the Falcons? What are they good at and what do they need to improve on?
