You do realize Oakdale trailed GCA by 4 and had the ball with a minute left last year. They turned it over and GCA pulled away when Oakdale fouled in the final minute. Steinmetz also barely played due to an injury.
When Jones was ejected at Grace, Rockwood was up 27-13. From that point on, Grace outscored Rockwood 21-0 that night and 35-14 Friday night. Therefore with Jones playing Rockwood held a 27-13 advantage and with him out it was Grace outscoring the Tigers 56-14.
With Jones in the lineup, Rockwood 27-13.
With Jones out of lineup, Grace 56-14.
One players makes a difference when he's the best player possibly to ever play at the school.
It was funny hearing Meigs County fans blaming tonight's loss on the refs. If they don't shoot 30 more free throws than Oneida, they wouldn't have been there.
I was also wondering why it got closed. I care nothing for Beech, but was surprised to see they got put out and looked at the thread. I didn't see anything out of line in it. I guess one of the folks in charge didn't like that they got beat. lol
So Wartburg is now 18-2 at home and 0-???? on the road. the biggest two games on here to tell about there homecourt advantage is the last two region semi game. In 2011 they beat #1 Oakdale at their place in the district then got beat by 30 by Oakdale at Harriman in the reguion. This year they beat #1 OS at there place in the district and lost by 20 at Harriman in the region. If they ever actually have to play a game on the road they will probably get beat by 50.
Good thing homecourt doesn't matter right Wartburg. That's 6 in a row that Wartburg had lost in postseason play away from home. Those 6 loses have come by 20 points per game.
