i have absolutely no respect for anyone who honestly thinks anyone but alcoa will win state. i know from first hand experience. they will be undefeated as well this year, for they will handle maryville easily.

i play for dca. and i am sorry, gp, as much speed as you have, it is no match for alcoa. it is not only their skill guys, it is their overall team speed. their DL and OL too. i have really never experienced anything like it. its not only that. they are EXTREMELY well coached. their DL and DBS play perfect technique. they are not bad sports or punks on the field, they keep their cool and just focus on the game, instead of trash talking. i tip my hats off to alcoa, they have earned my respect. alcoa- 42 gp- 13

you are crazy to say dca shouldnt even be considered. the cpa game was decieving and much closer than the score. dca turned the ball over 6 times and gave cpa the ball inside the 50 at least 4 times. cpa was stopped on a number of drives and then bailed out by dca's turnover prone offense that game. dca should at least be considered.

the kid from dca runs a 4.5. and he is probably just as quick as anyone from tyner. but with that being said he did run all over westmoreland, so its not really a valid point to just say "we have played speed all year". its how you play against that speed.

you cannot use the excuse that GP just didn't play their game.....they had 419 total yards of offense with 242 rushing.....turnovers killed them. i am expecting the GP db's to prepare very well this week and come out and have a strong showing against coffee county and then do the same the next week with CPA and the spread. the play of their DB's will be critical against CPA. dca should be in consideration

can anyone from westmoreland who has played both DCA and York how the two stack up? j.w. about this York team, because we generally never really get to hear anything about teams that are too far out of middle tennessee.

DCA is an underrated team fighting for some respect.

how is york ranked so high and only beat westmoreland 12-7...........dca beat them 35-7. no respect for the dca.

lol. smith county should handle westmoreland. but who's place is it at? smith county is too big, especially their qb. he is tough to handle, from experience.

still think collinwood would could hang with us in a real game? and since when does jv matter? but i wish the best of luck to westmoreland. they obviously did not play their best tonight. good luck the rest of the way. them and smith county should be a really good game.

any one who thinks collinwood would hang with dca is a moron. no one at dca is underestimating westmoreland. we will see tonight. we have a great amount of respect for westmoreland according to film. we dont get to play teams like this often. and westmoreland fans be prepared to see one of the best high school fields you have ever seen. we take alot of pride in it. good luck!

nm my bad. i was looking at the state rankings in the tennessean and they dont have some of the teams in the east. i apoligize.

i wouldnt be so cocky.....you can book it, if GP makes it to the champ. game and plays alcoa, GP will win. GP is ranked above of all the teams alcoa has played and alcoa. that has to mean something

this game will be very close because GP has not yet been really tested through the air by a spread team, with the exception of CPA last time and then the conditions made it almost impossible to throw.

this is an amazing game whose importance was amplified even more since they both had huge wins last night. these are two of the top three teams in 2a, and they both know each other very well. the only way CPA will have a chance to knock off GP is if it turns into a shootout. that would favor CPA a little bit. but if this game turns slow, and the teams are kept under 30, GP wins easily. but i think CPA will realize this and air it out even more. just cant pick against GP though. what i dont understand is how all you 6-2A fans got on this thread earlier in the week talking about how it would be close and some even picked Camden to win. i guess you saw the dominance of region 5 last night, as with the GP game as well. and all of the teams in region 5 are going to be back and ready for more of region 6 next year.......

i dont see too many LC fans on here now.............. o and that "amazing" defense didnt do too bad.....
