Slick Pasture, Old S.R. would really appreciate it if you would put in a good word for me. I WANT this job. Old S.R. feels like it would be a perfect situation and a perfect fit. The development of The Crusader Nation would continue as would the development of the football program.

It is a fact that Coach Skogen and Coach Beard resigned from coaching football. It is also a fact that Seth Wadley and Joey Skogen have transferred to McCallie. The article in the chattanooga paper this morning pretty much sums it up. Does anyone know when the process will begin to find a new coach? Slick Rick is finishing up student teaching and Slick Rick will apply for this job. Can someone give some information on when the Temple administration will be taking applications? This would be an absolute dream job for Old S.R. to take full control of the Crusader Nation and the football program. I WILL be applying. This job could be a gold mine to the right guy. There is a lot of talent in Chattanooga that is just waiting to be picked and planted. The talent will be there if the right coach keeps the program headed in the right direction.

MOSSY, I am not a jerk that works at the post office. That hurts Old S.R.'s feelings. MOSSY, this game is going to be over pretty quick. Friendship is just way to strong in too many areas. This is the year.

Dennis Rogan is just too tough. It's hard to pick against Fulton and all those athletes that just happened to beat a team called Alcoa. WOW. Lipscomb is disciplined and has some very good athletes as well, but I don't think they can overcome Rogan in this one. Fulton by 14

I will not pick against Alcoa against in 2A team, but I do think Goodpasture will be their best competition 2A has to offer. Alcoa makes it a 3 peat after tommorrow.

Mcwrestler, I (Slick Rick) can tell you this. Friendship should win this game rather handily, but you never know what could happen. You said you have never seen a 1A state championship game. I have been to everyone since the late 80's. I can tell you this, don't be disappointed. Friendship Christian has a good team and Old S.R. and the rest of The Commander Nation are pulling for them to win. 1A is weak this year compared to what it has been. This will be the weakest team to win a championship in 1A in many years. Like I said, Friendship is a good team, but they are not great. We have come accustomed to seeing great teams play in the 1A game, but this year you will not see that. Friendship is very deserving, as is Jackson Christian. I am just saying that in most years these two team would have trouble competing with the 1A powers of the past.

Hey Possumtowner, how did our boys look yesterday at practice? Old S.R. feels really good about the game. I think we will be just fine come Friday afternoon around 6:00. Rickaway will be "Da Man" on Friday. Everyone in Tennessee will see just how good he really is. Only a couple of more days.

This is the one team in 2A that I thought had any type of chance to play with Alcoa. It will be interesting to see what happens.

Jackson Christian is about to get introduced to Friendship Christian, Slick Rick and the Commander Nation. Jackson Christian is a good team but S.R. feels that F.C.S. will prove to be way to strong to make a really close game out of it. The truth is that Jackson Christian has played a pretty weak schedule and are going to have problems containing F.C.S. Old S.R. thinks that Jeremy Rickaway will run over, under, around and through Jackson Christian. Friendship is battle tested and ready to bring the state championship home where it belongs. If F.C.S brings this thing home this season, a repeat will happen next season. F.C.S. is the newest dynasty in 1A football. Just stating facts here people. Trust S.R. this is going to happen. It is going to be a fun ride for all the Commander Nation. Get there early on Friday and let's get ready to rumble. Make sure the horn is ready to go because we will be using it alot on Friday afternoon at the Boro. Good luck to Jackson Christian. You guys have a good team, but you haven't played us yet.

S.R. will be at his Commanders game this week. I will also be going to the Mr. Football banquet tomorrow. I hope that the Zone Pirate drives that Red Dodge Truck to the Blue Cross Bowl. I will be looking for it.

I thought this was a very good game. I did not get to this game until late in the first half. I was looking for that Red Dodge Truck of Zone Pirates, but was unable to locate it in the parking lot. I was late getting to the game because it took Kelly at the Jackets Nest forever to get my food ready, and then I got stuck in a little bit of traffic. Eventually, S.R. made it to the game.
