A recent article was published stating that the final team rankings were published with Cleveland being number 1 and McCallie being number 2. The article link is below: https://www.chattanoogan.com/2024/2/4/482199/Cleveland-First-McCallie-Second-In.aspx?fbclid=IwAR25_L17iBtdO_sB9IGWsqLlMB2QaPbMEGEjpid8TEUc5C2mKa0khjSvjpk Do we agree with this? If these two schools faced off right now what do we think would be the result? Lets get some people to break down the match by match analysis and get some healthy debate going. Now, these two schools wrestled earlier this year but McCallie did not have 4 of its starters due to it still being within the football season and they were advancing to the state championship against Baylor. I also do not remember if they had any of their 8th graders wrestling yet. So they were sort of a shell of a team at the time. I believe Cleveland also had a couple wrestlers not present. BUT if they wrestled now, both at their best, who would win? How close would it be? Would it even be close? Lets see some match by match analysis!

http://www.dnj.com/article/20131027/NEWS/310270027/The-Sunday-Q-Bernard-Childress-TSSAA-may-revise-playoff-system-again-2015 The Sunday Q&A with Bernard Childress: TSSAA may revise playoff system again in 2015 I posted on this web-site the day they announced the new 'Z' system that is would cause more problems than it would solve. I said then and I say now that non-district games should NEVER count in any high school sport. Imagine doing this for baseball or basketball. Try scheduling non-district games then. I have used the example of Lavergne for years. How they could schedule 'A' and 'AA' teams for out of district, win a couple of district games, get 6 or 7 wins and make the playoffs. This year, my Riverdale fits that profile. Instead of playing Bradley Central (5-4), East Hamilton (7-2), Hendersonville (7-2) and Cane Ridge (5-4) perhaps we should have played Glencliff (0-9), Coffee Co (0-9), Knoxville Halls (0-9) and Portland (0-9). Instead of being (3-6) (3-2 and sole possession of third in 7AAA) we could be (7-2) and in the playoffs headed into senior night against Smyrna. Non-District games should NEVER come into play for the post-season. If they don't then scheduling is far easier. What do YOU think?

Looking at the matchups in the Blue Cross Bowl this year, West Tennessee has 6 teams playing for a championship in their Classification: 2A - Peabody 3A - Covington 4A - Haywood 5A - Henry County 6A - Whitehaven Dll - Class AAA - MUS As a good old West Tennessee boy born in a cotton patch, I want to support all 6 teams and pull for y'all to bring home the championship. I don't have anything against the other two Grand Divisions of Tennessee, in fact y'all have some mighty sweet women up there. In my day I dated a few and married the best one I ran across. Still, I have to support my home boys.

We might as well begin. Rematch from last year.

I wanted to share this movie we did because I think people on here might enjoy it. My main goal was to capture what I love about high school football: the towns and how much it means to every guy on the team.

This postseason, SETN Preps will have March Madness in November! Do you think you can pick a better bracket than Chandler, Chris, or Jon? Then sign up! It’s ust that simple! Create an account on Challonge at the link below: SIGN UP NOW When the brackets are released Saturday, you will be able to make picks for every bracket and every classification! Brackets will go live Saturday, October 2 at 12 PM CT/1 PM ET. From there you will be able to pick one full bracket for each classification! We will post when brackets are ready on SETNPreps.com and right here on the CoachT Message Boards. The Brackets will close on Friday at 4 PM CT/5 PM ET (unless there are Thursday game scheduled, in which case, the closing time would be 4 PM CT/5 PM ET on that Thursday). THE WINNER WILL BE FEATURED ON OUR WEBSITE AND ON A SPECIAL PODCAST WITH CHRIS AND CHANDLER! RULES Each pick is worth points. Each round those points are doubled. (1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points, 3rd = 4 points, etc.) The winner will the person who accumulates the most points in a single bracket. (Possible high score 80 points for a perfect bracket) The winner will be the high point total from any classification, not the combined point of a single person with multiple brackets. The Division II-A and II-AA brackets together will count as one bracket. The point totals will be combined in order to have the same point total and same number of picks as the Division I brackets, which have 32 in each classification. The Division II-AAA Bracket point total will be tripled as to remain fair since only 8 teams make up this bracket. Quadrupling this bracket would give the same point totals and picks as Division I brackets, but picking in an 8-team bracket is significantly easier than a 32-team bracket, so we triple this to keep the playing field fair. If there is a tie in regards to point totals, the following tiebreakers will be implemented: The person with the most brackets filled out will be declared the winner. If these is still a tie, the person with the highest point total across all the brackets they filled out will be declared the winner. If there is still a tie in regards to tiebreaker No. 2, the person with the most champions picked correctly will be declared the winner. If there is still a tie after tiebreaker No. 3, the winner will be decided by a coin flip. Challonge only allows a person to fill out one bracket per classification per account. If you wish to use another account to fill out more brackets, you may do so. If it comes to a tiebreaker, you will have to use the picks made with the account that is in the tiebreaker. IF THERE IS A BYE IN THE BRACKET, YOU HAVE TO PICK THE TEAM WITH THE BYE. IF YOU SELECT THE BYE, YOU WILL LOSE THE POINTS THAT COME FROM PICKING THE TEAM WITH THE BYE. Once the brackets are closed on either the Friday or Thursday mentioned above the rules, no changes will be made. However, SETN Preps may make a Second Chance Bracket starting with the Quarterfinal round, and that will be a seperate competition from this bracket challenge. For any questions or comments on the Bracket Challenge please comment on this post or email us at [email protected]. OK......new year. Anyone want to give some insight on who might make it to this years tournament? I'm just making a shout into the dark since this never produces too much chatter. Would love to know any teams that are in this years tournament and how you think it will play out. Holston was the cream of the crop last year.....will they be back? Good luck out there. Kaz

I hope that TSSAA and Go Fan becomes a little smarter as playoffs progress. Each week the exact same link is sent to both schools to manage and distribute to participants and their parents for 24hrs before ticket sales go public. There are no restrictions to keep one team from buying the other tickets through this link and to expect that an honor system would be used is unbelievable in this day and time. Now some schools are releasing the link earlier and earlier each Monday to get a jump on ticket sales and even are stating they are buying the other team's allotted tickets. Get it fixed TSSAA
