Not only Top 10...They ended the regular season as the top ranked team in the state in AA....Deserved or not that meant they were ranked ahead of Raleigh-Egypt,two time defending state champ Bolivar,Mem. Mitchell and Mr.Basketball Thaddeus Young and Haywood Co. to mention a few.....

 

They lose one player off the team..A very important one in 4 year starting point guard Antwan Coby..They lost to one team from the state of Tennessee..They had a record of 31-3..But they return Marquis Weddle who many think is the early odds on favorite to win Mr. Basketball next season....Union City will be extremely tough next year....

gonna be a very tough district.ill bet there will be many great games between all of the schools.i think most of the good teams in the district this year dont lose much at all.probably gonna be one of the toughest if not the toughest district in the state.it is a shame that one of those good teams will not even make the region tourny.might be a long shot but a team from this district could very well be in the title game again next year,if not both teams.weddle moving down to A definitely makes him one of the frontrunners for mr bball,along with tony tyler from lc.those are two great ballplayers that will be matching up a few times next year.i personally cant wait till next year to see some of these great games.especially tyler vs weddle.i havent seen weddle play but have heard that he is the real deal.tony tyler isnt a pushover either so those should be some great duels.good luck to LC and all other teams in our district(since the reclassification i dont know the number)next year.lets bring back a gold and silver ball to our district.GO FALCONS thumb

peabody is losing two seniors including our mr. basketball. but we will still have an incredible crew of basketball players with Mack Ashburn, Greg Ramsey (all-state player) Dex Feilds, DeMario Partee as seniors along with a very strong set of under classmen who have plenty of experience it will be very interesting to see who will step up coming off of the bench and a crew coming from the middle school if i have forgoten to mention any key players dont feel shy to correct me.
