You go play baseball  -- oh, and learn how to read for context while you are at it.  Just cool it.

I did not make excuses.  Ooltewah played the game the way it needed to be played under those conditions.  They did a lot better job of adjusting to the game and taking what was there than we did.  Therefore, they won and we lost.  It is just that simple.  I was not making excuses, just describing the conditions and what happened.  If you can't understand that, well, ... what's the saying, "It's hard to drill for oil with a dull auger."

It was simply a matter of Ooltewah playing their game better than we played ours.

Congrats on the win and continued luck throughout the season.

By the way that truely was a great save not only did you get your hands on it but made it clean.

Yes i must say Warren County displayed the best sportmanship i had ever seen. I was proud to shake their hands at the end of the game. They didn't play dirty, except for a few minor details, and they did have some skilled players. On the contrary(spelling?) the whoel ordeal about the feild conditions is kinda ######. If it was a 1-0 victory for ooltewah you could blame the feild with a reasonable argument, but 3-0 guys it's gonna be kinda hrd to convince people of that... All in all great set of players that play soccer, and don't get caught up in childish acts.

    • Did this happen? Does anyone know? Ripley has their HC job posted on the bulletin board over the weekend.
    • Coalfield definitely isn't the same team they've had the past few years. They are still the favorites to make it out of their region because of their pitching. They have 1 arm that sits low to mid 80s and 2 other arms that are mid to high 70s with good off speed stuff. If you can avoid their top 3 bats in their lineup then you have a shot to beat them. Their 4-9 hitters are average at best. Wartburg's ace was able to shut them down last week in the game Wartburg won 4-2.
    • It is the longest season. Plus, 30 games a year. No Christmas break. I would say basketball is the most time consuming.
