umm i say no. i play for south-doyle and even though you all beat us last night 2-1 i dont feel that we are just as good if not better than you are. also, the 3 or however many it is D-1 signees werent all that impressive. im a sophmore and start at central defender and i had no problem keeping up with and shutting down your forwards. #10 kept dribbling himself out of bounds. granted, he has good footskills and decent speed but 3 of our 4 defenders were faster than him, and he hardly ever got the ball anywhere cept out of bounds in the corner. the only player that impressed me the least bit was #7 and that was just because of that 30 or 40 yard goal he had (amazing). you guys played a great game and earned the win but i dont believe that maryville will win state this year.

The question isn't winning state, its going to state. I feel that more teams have a greater shot of going to Memphis than last year. Yet Maryville will have a tough time getting through either Farragut or Bearden out of districts, I believe. I may be wrong though so no criticizing, just correct me. South Doyle on the other hand did not have the greatest squad last year, but this is a new year and who knows...maybe they have turned into a much more impressive team. Out of East Tennessee AAA I believe Farragut and Oak Ridge will head back over again. But that doesnt mean I am saying they are easily going to do this. Maryville and South Doyle will both give them a run for their money and who knows, maybe those will be the two that will represent Tennessee.

I think maryville has a strong chance of going to state. I think they finally started showing their potential in the last half of the South-Doyle game....but I will admit that they have not been too impressive, but I know that they will start getting things together. #10, Kyle Franklin, just got back from playing in a world tournament with some of the best players in the nation...he is very good, but he can't be perfect every game. Maryville has a ton of very skilled players, and once they start "meshing" they will do big things

Maryville will make a run at state, but they will not win. They still have to beat the likes of Bearden and Farragut (not saying they can't, but it will be tough).

No they wont i play for sevier county and we beat them 1-0 and were missing 3 starters mcgill(car wreck) miller(concussion) and fezz played but on a very bad ankle and was moved out of his spot due to that they are good in some areas but there d is slow and not as good as they use to be
