We (LC) have had out ups and downs over the season so far and after seeing the paper Oneida only winning by 1 goal against AC seems like too are having their downs.  Winning by one goals against AC is not a positive thing at all.  However, Oneida has a very good team this year.  We also have a good team this year, although being young keeps us very inconsististent this season so far.  This game will be very good and very close from the beginning to the end.  Every year Oneida is getting better and better and due to us beating them every year, seems to want to win more and more.  I love playing this game because they play with great heart and play every year with a lot of class.  I particularly look forward to playing this game this week and wish a GL to Oneida.  I am for the moment on the injured list with a pulled quad (captain) and was wondering if Oneida had any injuries on their team?  Although, not even a pulled quad will stop me from playing this big game.

Don't sell Oneida short. They dominated the game against AC. The difference was AC keeper Shane Fox, this guy is a freak!

Oneida can play, should be a wild game. Good luck to both!

score at half time was 1-1 with oneida drawing first blood....LC seemed to dominate though yet could not finish..both teams had missed opportunities...at the start of the second half oneida scored off a scramble in the box and the game was called with twenty some minutes remaining...final 2-1 oneida....(if the weather had not cut it short i think it would have been a different outcome)

Man, that is a tough loss. The outcome might have been different, or it might have remained the same, but 20 minutes is a LONG time for things to change. I hope that you will get to play this match at full time in districts. See you all in Regions hopefully.

After waiting an hour and fifteen mintutes for the weather to calm down, the game was resumed with 21 minutes left to play. Lenoir City scored pretty quickly to tie it up, and with 6 minutes left in the game a third goal was scored by LC to put them in the lead 3-2, which we managed to hold on to. I would like to congradulate both teams for playing an excelent game, and for putting up with that weather.

I am a bit confused... So, I take it that LC DID win, not Oneida, as one of the posts said?

That is correct. LC did win. The game was stopped 20 minutes before the end due to lightning but waited it off for a while. LC came out and played an incredible 20 minutes to score 2 goals, which game them the win 3-2.

    • Yeah they both should be good games whoever matches up with who. Wartburg has beaten Oliver Springs all 4 times they’ve played this year but they have been close games. I believe Wartburgs first sectional appearance was last year when they went to North Greene. Good luck to you all!
    • What did they do this year? Every other year, I’ve gone to one. It’s been a little scrimmage and then a bunch of games like a quarterback throwing challenge, O line versus D line, push-up challenge, etc.    But not surprised, nothing new that the program has been on the decline since they lost their recruiting middle school coach. The baseball coach still does his fair share, but he recruits good baseball players. Not good football players, and decent baseball players, definitely nothing like the middle school coach could do, he left for a middle school job down near Cleveland high school a few years back.
    • Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.
    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
