k3urout
Mt. Juliet 9 White House 1 5 homers from Mt. Juliet including two from catcher Ryan Hill. Very solid outing from Cotham and good defense behind him. #11 Whittaker pitched for White House....Blue Devils were never really in the game after giving up three in the first. On the way home stopped by Beech and they were walking off the field shaking hands with LaVergne...looked like LaVergne won 7-4. Anyone with details of this game. Also during our game heard H'ville beat Wilson Central 5-1. Who pitched for Wilson Central, Hoban or Alsup????

In10city
Yup, 5 HRs. THAT'S impressive! (I understand MJ pitching was equally impressive.) Congrats on the big win!
bd4vols
LaVergne got 7 innings from Cole Harrington and beat Meadows and Beech 7-4. LaVergne was up 6-0 when Beech scored one. Beech loaded the bases with none out in the 7th, but Harrington pitched out of it, allowing 2 runs. Both teams squandered opportunities, but Beech seemed to squander more than LaVergne did. LaVergne played good Defense most of the night and capitalized on virtually every mistake that Beech made. The turning point in the game was in the 5th when a Beech player tried to tag from second going to third on a fly ball to center and was gunned down at third by Will Vaughn for a rally-killing double play and pretty much ending Beech's hopes for the game. They never gave up though, and I still say Coach Hayes is doing a great job over there. LaVergne improves to 5-5 in 9-AAA and Beech falls to 2-8. Beech is a very dangerous team and I'd hate to be a 1 or 2 seed and face them in the district tournament. Things are getting interesting.
