Stewart County softball

The Lady Rebels of Stewart County will travel to Marshall County Monday May 16 for a 5:00 game. The team will leave at 12:00 noon from SCHS and travel to Nashville and then down Interstate 65 and will exit on the Lewisburg exit. Lewisburg is east of I-65.

 

If the team wins, they will play Wednesday.

 

The trip will take an estimated 3 hours as the team will take it's time in getting there.

 

The trip is 141 miles away.

Loretto is coming to CW. Good Luck to you guys! represent 10-AA well and come back and see us Wednesday. Are you guys sure you don't want to take a plane to Marshall? That is a very long haul for just a region game. Who put them in our region? They must have never thought the gas prices would be like they are today

the trip to marshall isn't as long as the trip to loretto, which is about 170 miles from dover.

Same people who put Stewart County, Montgomery Central, Waverly,

Creekwood,,etc.etc. in our's.

I agree with you...it is a long haul for a region game. Too long of a haul,

especially in basketball.

But when you consider the alternative ( not playing at all ! ) coaches, players,

& fans will load up and be glad to make the trip.

 

Believe it or not, Lewisburg & Stewart County actually played regular season

football games against each other in the early 80's.
