I wouldn't put a lot into it either. A 5A team vs a 3A team.  Myabe Wilson Central should scrimmage a Pop Warner team and then sonofshadow will really have something to post about.

Yes Tommy Tharp has moved on to be an Albertville Aggie. He has taken over a team that hasn't ever seen much of a off season work out session. They are getting a very good dose of Tommy Tharp and his work ethic. Look for them to rebound from an 0-10 season very well. Maybe not in '05 but in the very near future. 

ps:  I guarantee every player on the Marshall County Tigers is elgible to play, academically and otherwise.

Oh I see, when MC a (3A team) is 9-1 during the regular season; you are one of the ones who thinks they ought to be ranked in the top 10 in the midstate with the Riverdales, MBAs etc, but when they get clocked by an average 5A team...........you revert back to the poor little ole 3A team stuff. And by the way, word is that...... they got clocked!

Maybe Wilson Central was playing a "POP WARNER" team.

And for the record, Marshall Co. did let a very good coach (Tharp) get away from them! Why?

Because he did not want the job. He felt under the circumstances that he would be looked down on by those who supported Mac, as being the one who came here and got Mac fired, which wasn't the situation. I would have loved for tommy to have taken the job, but after a conversation he had with the administration he decided not to pursue it. I and many others tried to convince him otherwise, but he wanted to go in another direction. He has taken on a huge responsibility in Albertville, but he is the man for the job and will turn that program around. He always has been a winner and he will win in Albertville.

 

 

Tommy is a great coach, and an even better person off of the field. I consider Tommy Tharp a very good friend of mine and I hope he feels the same about me. I hated Tommy and his family leaving the area as bad as anyone did.

Is it just me or what, coach 763 and zorroschild have the picture identifying thier username? Could 763 really be the legend ZORRO, and just found his child has an entirely different viewpoint on this thread. If so maybe 763 can help clean up ZC posts?

I care not to find the "Zchild". I really think that the "Zchild" could be related to the MC coach. The "Zchild" is awfully protective of the MC head man.

coach johnson is a great coach, and he will continue to make a difference at marshall. I am very excited to continue the rival with him and our staff. it is a friendly rival, but it is time we finally get him. The fall scrimmage will make the fans cheer and see what football is about. Don't worry about the spring, the defense has all day camp and will fix the break.
