lewis co. will be a force this year, but the west tennessee teams are overlooking loretto and richland, both had a great last season.

Last year does not matter. This is a new year, new region, new attitude. I'm not saying they won't be good teams...but you can't go by last year. Does that mean that since Riverside had a bad year that we are guaranteed another one? I don't think so.

The thing about this is....Camden, Riverside, and Adamsville all have something in common. We faced tough competition constantly over ther past 4 years. The seniors on these teams know what its to have to play tough teams each week. I'm not saying this will keep Lewis Co or others from winning, I just think this gives us an advantage. You can't really go by that though. There is no way to tell right now what is going to happen during the season....many things can change by then. It's getting closer by the second.... ;)

Returning 13 starters.... not bad. You guys should have a good season.

We do have several starters returning. The difference between us and others is as you notice our starters have to play both sides of the ball. Their are only 7 players who were starters. But when you add them up from both sides of the ball it is 13.

The only way you can over come this is to be better conditioned than your opponent.

Who has to play both both sides of the ball for Camden?

There's a few, but I'm not sure of the exact number. I don't think it is as many as 7 though.

That's a dang good backfield. If Smith doesn't get at least 20 carries a game, it will be a travesty not to mention a big mistake. Linebackers are awfully good, too.

Our backs have been going both ways since we've been in high school. We are used to it now and we know what we have to do to get prepared for it. The linemen are really going to have to be in shape this year for us to have a chance. They are working hard on their conditioning and speed. And yes we have some great linebackers that will be hard to stop. Our secondary has more speed this year than it's had in the last decade. We're just anxious to get started. We will really be tested in our two Fall Scrimmage games. The 1st against McKenzie and the 2nd against Chester Co.

I agree, the main reason that Smith and McCormick have been able to do the things they've done the past 2 years is all thanks to their line. This year we have a couple of new guys that are going to step in at the trench positions and they know what their job is. The attitude is better as a whole. I think everyone just realizes that this is it....our last chance to really do something big and everyone is just doing what they have to do so that we will have a good shot this year. Puckett may be gone from the defensive line but there is a replacement believe it or not that could be as good. His name is Josh Floyd. He's not the biggest of guys 5'10" 240 lbs., but I can assure you that he makes up for it.
