Sorry, I meant last year's game, really don't know about passing league game. No, not cocky, just telling the facts. Camden was driving to score about 6 or 7 times and turned it over. But I will give the Rebels some credit, they could sling it. Hayes is a tremendous quarteback. As for the passing league, it really means nothing. Camden will definitely have a killer pass rush.

Well, last year doesn't amount ot squat and this year is a questionmark for everyone untill it get's rolling.

So rather than beat dead horses, I'll just add my best wishes to the Camden Lions this season from a McKenzie Rebel fan. Since ya'll's secondary showed flaws in the passing league against us then your coaches/players know what to work on. Ya'll didn't get where you are by not knowing what needs fixing.

Agreed Duckman...thanks for the well wishes and ditto from us....the passing league means very little...most coaches are just putting guys in to see what they can do in what position and what needs to be worked on...its like alot of the scrimmages...just seeing who can do what where....I have complete faith that we'll have all that worked out by season opener time....we are used to being the under dog... we've been that for a long time...Boys I guess that just means we've gotta recruit some more believers!....GO LIONS!

I don't question your ability to run the ball at all. I also don't really question your offense, because when push comes to shove you don't pass the ball all that much anyway. I do, however, question your secondary. Everyone was ready for pass since we couldn't run, and yet we still threw all over you. I'm sure your pass rush would've helped a ton... but I can guarantee you that we still would've gotten alot of those touchdowns even with complete teams on the field. Many drives were made of quick routes and would've been completed by the time Drew had pressure.

How long did he have to throw those touchdowns?

I don't know the exact amount of time, but it wasn't incredibly long. Like I said, many were quick routes and would've been completed by the time a large rush was upon him.

Well, don't forget about hands in the air, zone blitzes, etc..

Yeah, Thats true. I didn't say anything about Camden's line/linebackers. I know both will be good. I just spoke of improving a secondary so you'll be one step closer to the title game.

Hey, no doubt, our secondary needs work if we got beat that bad. I know Coach Ward will have the heads pulled out of the rears before Westview rolls into town.

Being used to feeling like an underdog isn't restricted to Camden. I guess H-town, Milan, and maybe Bruceton are the only ones around here who haven't had to deal with that one a lot. McKenzie has been on an upswing for the last 6-7 years but, last season left a lot to be desired. Our team is committed to turning that around and I'm with 'em. Just like you are with the Lions.

I'm still lookin' for the day when a team has to go thru West TN to win a class A or AA championship!!!!! That's my bottom line. We're gettin' there and it's pretty sweet. Even though ya'll got moved across the river, WE still know what West TN is and ya'll are one of us. PERIOD!

They can move us where ever they want but it'll always be about the place where we cut our baby teeth and have finally almost grown out a full set of canines...it'll always be about the WEST!....Maybe in our new regions Camden and McKenzie can really show what we're all about...playing second (or third) fiddle all the time can wear down any team's confidence.....but things are looking up!...we may be the underdog for a couple of games this season but I have to admit it feels nice to be the one with the bullseye on our backs for a change :D

    • There are some potentials internal to the school system. Due to timing of this, that may be the route they go. If so, I'd say a few names would be, Brandon Eden, Kyle Gregory, or BJ West. Eden and Gregory have only been assistants at the HS level but may express interest. West has not been on the HS staff but has been HC of the Middle school that last few years and word on the street has been that he is highly interested. There may be others as well.    Going outside of the school system, a few names come to mind: Rennard Woodmore, Adam Keeton, and Josh Hackett. But I have no idea if any would interest.
    • A lot of people wanted him.
    • Sure, we can talk about it if you want to. Do you want to talk about zoning for Oak Ridge over the past 10 years with some kids from west? Lol. I don’t think so. I see your point, especially for a private school that stinks at football, but I’m just saying that you said the running back who is arguably one of the best transfers from TKA that West got is Zoned for West, and that’s just incorrect.
