The TN Elite went 3-0 in pool play. They play next the #4 team from pool G, the West Texas Starlets, Fri at high noon.

The SE/TN Elite defeated the WT Starletes 74-52.

Lost to MD Choice 68-60, which puts them in the L bracket.

They play the Untouchables of the Gulf association 8:30 AM Sat.

This is the basic core group minus two or three. I understand that were picking up two other players to fill out the roster.

I know that Monica Hembree is with them.

Jimbo...I just got a phone call from Monica Hembree and I really tried to get the details!!!

 

They won their game this morning rather easily...

 

The game this afternoon was more exciting apparently...

 

Elite are down by seven...they catch up....game is tied...just a few seconds left...the other team has the ball...they throw up an air ball...just two seconds left...(she said 2 point somthing, sorry about the lost detail!!)...Monica Hembree rebounds the ball...comes down the court...shoots at half court...misses...BUT...a player from the other team pushes her down from behind....

 

Monica Hembree goes to the free throw line...with three chances to win the game...and she shoooooooooooooooots....WHOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!!!...the game is won by the ELITE!!!!....

 

Detailed enough???

SE/TN Elite touched the Untouchables 92-55.

Defeated NC/TM NCarolina in a close game( see above). 65-64

They play next, OK-Air Oklahoma 8:30AM Sunday.

SE/TN Elite got deflated by OK-Air Oklahoma Stars 71-63. The Ok Stars won their afternoon game and play next on Monday in the semi/final round.

Congrats to our young ladies of the TN Elite. They have represented our state well.
