Northwest @ Kenwood

The Vikings are coming off an embarrassing shut out loss at home vs. David Lipscomb. The rumor is that four seniors have walked off the field in the last two weeks, and more are still to come. Can the Vikings pull out a win @ Kenwood or will the Vikings lose to "The Wood" for the first time in 3 years?

Im thinkin since northwest has been in a "slump" the past 3 weeks and kenwood just came off an emotional win over henry county(many predicated 48-0). Kenwood should win this one

Just because they lost some of their seniors doesnt mean anything. They still have a team without them... there is no way that kenwood will blow them out... the henry county game was a fluke

i agree with seabb5 that this game will be no blowout by northwest, northwest is coming into a game where they had only 75 yards total offense last week and kenwood's defense is only getting better. i beleive kenwood wins this one and becomes 1-1 in the region

i agree kenwood will beat the brakes off of Northwest. Northwest is garbage and they will not do anything against Kenwood defense.

The NW players have been told to just have fun. Absolutely no teaching of fundalmentals or strength and conditioning during the week. They just run plays against the JV and have fun. KW JV won't be on the field Friday night.

 

It been very obvious the last two Friday nights (Portland & David Lipscom), where the NW offensive lineman allowed the defense to run between them without resistance, that NW lacked basic lineman fundalmentals, strength and conditioning, and coaching, which resulted in a 4 & out game plan.

 

To make matters worst, the defense stayed on the field 8 -10 minutes of a 12 minute qtr, then the majority of those same players went back on offense resulting in 70 yards total offense. The NW coaches have really exposed themselves this season.

 

As mentioned at the beginning of the season, if NW didn't beat Station Camp, they'd be 0 & 4 going into the KW game. Friday nights game will be emotional but it's payback time for KW as NW struggles to avoid another shut-out or blowout.

 

Then the coaches can blame the loss on Clarksville having too many schools or the absence of talent, or the absence of #24 from last year. The coaches have been exposed.

You say if they had lost to Station Camp... but they won didnt they??? Kenwood has talked trash for the last what 3-4 years? But guess what they never beat them.... so keep talkin the gargage and get ready for friday...
