For anyone who thinks BBS "scheduled" Red Bank for homecoming, please understand. The Bucs had to scramble for a schedule. They only play four games at home this year. Two have already been played. You can't really have a homecoming game in August or September! The last home game is a region game. The Red Bank game was really the only alternative for homecoming. It's nothing personal at all!

As for my analysis of the game -- I believe BBS will have a tough time with Red Bank's speed at the skill positions. Red Bank will pressure the special teams of the Bucs to perform exceptionally well. Even if they do, you can expect at least one big play from the Lions in the kicking game. BBS's best hope is to make the game similar to the Marion game if they can -- slow down the tempo, control the ball and maintain good field position. The defense must find a way to contain Red Bank's speed. The Bucs cannot afford a mistake-filled, penalty-filled game or it could get ugly.

It is not a hopeless situation for BBS, but it looks tough. Red Bank is a good team that is playing with a lot of passion and confidence. If they do not repeat as champs of their region, I will be surprised and they will be sorely disappointed.

...Good post and also one glaring statistic that jumps out at you: Since the Marion game, Boyd has been out-scored 77-7...on the other hand Red Bank has outscored its' opponents 84-0...strange things have been known to happen on the football field, but this is one time that the ball is really in Boyd's court!!!

Fulton was 0-3 going into the boyd game. who did Red bank play the two weeks before boyd? Central and Walker Valley. Boyd played Fulton and Baylor. just an attempt to offset your "glaring statistic" mr. fan. can't wait til week 10. both teams will be ready. i know this buc is ready to get it together, and now. see you there.

...the fact remains only 7 points were scored...you can put any kind of "spin" on the reason why...and I wouldn't be worried about week 10...I know the "RAMS" only play one game at a time...October 28th is a long time from now!!!

You will see a fired up Boyd team. The last two games they got killed by 2 great team that would do the same to Red Bank and Tyner. Boyd is in a very bad mood. The last time I saw them this fired up was last year against Goodpasture, wich Boyd won 42 - 14. I think Red Bank will get smacked in the mouth a lot and I think they will lay down.

Who cares if Boyd is fired up and who cares about coach Akins being able to motivate kids. The simple fact remains that Boyd does not have the athletes of years past and they are not physcial. Boyd has to many injuries and not enough playmakers. Red Bank will manhadle them. Boyd may get 7 points.

Boyd 7

...Add 7 to the top score and subtract 7 from the bottom and you hit it right on the money :thumb:

    • When she starts farting around with the football team the powers in Maryville will run her out of town on a rail and everyone connected with letting her in the door. You saw what happened when Alcoa's radio announcer thought he was coming to Maryville, the people rose up and stopped it.
    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
