a real football player

Saw this post in another thread and I thought everyone needed to read it.

"If you want to see a real football player, watch a team that hasn't won a game, and see who's still out there playing hard, regardless of the score. Look at the defensive back running all the way across the field at full speed, just in case one of his teammates miss a tackle. Look for the player not wanting to come out of the game, even when their team is down by 35 points in the 4th quarter. Look for the wide reciever sprinting off the line play after play, even on the running plays. Look for the lineman firing off the line as hard as he can to hit the guy across from him who is a 6' 4" division 1 prospect, never backing down. Look at the senior who's playing on a sprained ankle, giving it everything he has, in hopes of one more win before he graduates. Look for the sophomore who's jumping in on scout team every chance he gets in practice, and yelling from the sideline for his team all night. Look for the center and the quarterback who stay 15 minutes after practice voluntarily, to practice snaps, because they had a couple of fumbles the week before. Look for the guy who never quits, even when you're not getting wins, and its not fun to go to practice anymore. I've never met anybody who said he regreted the decision to NOT quit. Hang in there, and you'll be glad you did. Keep working hard, one practice at a time, one drill at a time, one down at a time, one game at a time, and the wins will come. Good luck blue devils!" - WC49

Lets use this thread to give a shout out to some of the "real football players" you've seen on friday night. We're not talkin' about the players with the best stats, but the ones you see each friday out there playing their hardest. Lets give those guys some of the recognition they deserve. So this last friday, who were some of the hardest playing guys you saw on the field?

Station Camp has senior night tomorrow night and I want to say:

Congrats to:

#3 Will Anderson,

#82 Josh Barnes,

#76 Robert Bridges

#56 Jeff Ferebree

They are the first graduating class that has completed all 4 years at Station Camp!

They have given their all, from having no home field to play on their freshman year, a new field their sophomore year, making it to the playoffs their junior year, to a senior year that has shown that no matter what they have the "BISON PRIDE"! You guys have played better than your record shows. Keep your heads up, you have spent the last 4 years being apart of something that no one else from Station Camp can claim and it can never be taken away from you.

You all started the foundation that SC players will be build on for years to come!

Best wishes in all you do!

    • so the players dad who is a recruiter is now at Oakland?
    • We are optimistic because we will have another great season. You should keep your opinions on your Forrest Rocket board. These kiddos at Marion have had an amazing off season. They are working hard and it is showing. Coach TStark is getting these kids scholarships to get their college for free. Also Coach Harm is back so this is another awesome thing for our kiddos. Forrest will get theirs when they come to Bill Baxter Stadium this season. My main men Sam, Tay and Tilton are going to do amazing things this season. You should just watch and see what these kiddos are capable of doing. The Marion County Warriors are a force to be reckoned with again this year. East Robertson will be a good team again but that is the only big challenge this team will have again. If we can beat East Robertson like I know we can then we will go to the state championship and win the game. As always it is a great day to be a warrior. Go Warriors! We are Marion!
    • The player is only able to go because of the coach who is his dad. The dad is a recruiter not a good coach. HC blamed him for losing the Clinton game in the playoffs.
