The kids on the team prolly care if they "squeek" into the playoffs. Whether or not they get drilled or not its still a pretty good season to get to that point. I mean, doesn't look like we'll have to worry about getting drilled by OR in the first rd. this year anyways. So lets try to get a win this week and work towrd that pounding we would take if we got there

the thrill of palying in teh atmosphere at OR Blankenship field is a treat in itself...even though we got "drilled" both times I took CC teams there, it was fun...especially since we played decnt first halves against the CATS...heck, we even scored first in both gomes...it was a treat to hear teh silence on the OR side of teh field...not so thrilling though when the floodgates finally opened up though...

teh OR faithful (especially teh OR media) were so kind to me and my staff ...tehy heaped praises upon us for teh effort and different attitude we brought to the CC program...granted we didnt win very often, but at least we changed teh image of CC sportsmanship while we were there...then we were fired...LOL...

at least teh blonde hasnt fired me yet...

It is easy to be helpful to people as nice as you are to us every time we go to Campbell County. Coach Gaddis always said you were doing it right at Campbell County. I think had you stayed there, they would have made the playoffs long before last year. I look forward to seeing you this winter and maybe in the playoffs but it looks like the road will be tough for the Cougars. David Clary

coach Gaddis saying that is a true compliment, coming from a true football man...his kind words and teh fact tath he came and talked to teh CC team after taht firt trip to Blankenship will always be a highlight of my coaching career...he spoke to our team even before he spoke to hisown team after that first meeting ...I hope to see you during basketball season along with those other wonderfully nice OR folks...

    • I am going to assume you are not a lawyer, and most reasonable lawyers would not say the lawsuit has a zero percent chance in court. I agree with you that a coach has the ability to dismiss anyone from a team. However, Ms. Winfree was never presented with the opportunity to present her witnesses and have them tell the coaches and administrators what they heard. A lawyer could better explain the lawsuit and the grounds to you. Before you start making wild assumptions about the lawsuit, would it be too much to ask that you do a little legal research first? The lawsuit is dealing with due process, loss of property, and defamation.   You can read the lawsuit here: https://bdnewsletter.files.wordpress.com/2024/04/doc-1-complaint-filed-4-18-2024.pdf
    • The administration took the path of backing the coach and whispering to people that the kid was a problem. The reality is that the kid was never a problem on a team or classroom. The player says she has witnessed who back her not saying the f-word.  Why did the coach make that story up and other stories? I am not Sigmund Freud and do not have an answer for the ex=-coach's behavior..
    • I think they have they coach they want close to being done. I guess we will all see how this plays out. I hope the hire a good one. There are some players in the box for the next coach to work with.
    • Going to grundle Troy Fleming?
    • I agree I don't think it will go to trial either, but I feel like that will be because no judge would deem this to warrant a law suit... If the school board settles, they loose and all coaches and schools loose too.
