Passing game wasn't the difference. Smith County's big defense was. Owls win big 21-0 and are region CHAMPS. Way to go Owls.

It really was a surprisingly easy win. Westmoreland had trouble running and went to an all out passing game pretty early in the game. SC ran and passed effectivley. Westmoreland's qb looked good...but had several dropped balls. SC stepped up quite a bit in game that all but sealed their 2nd region championship in a row. Good job Owls.

Glad you didnt find that QB till 4th quarter last week. Tigers could be trouble with a threat of the pass.

Westmoreland runs the ball better...I don't think so. SC had 260 yards rushing. SC will wear down quicker...I don't think so. We dominated from opening kickoff to the last play. Westmoreland is quicker...not tonight anyway. Westmoreland wins with the passing game...4 ints for SC, one returned for a touchdown.

Someone earlier in the week said that the Eagles were better at running than the Owls. Not on this night. The OWLS' "D" made it a long night for the Eagles running attack.

Owls looked good in their win tonight. Every week we get better and better. The running game came alive also. We controlled the game from the opening kick off to the final horn. Could have easily won by two more TD's. If we continue to improve like we have over the season, we will make some noise come playoff time. Big non-region game against LA next week. Should be interesting. GOOD JOB OWLS, region champs!
