The Hampton Bulldogs are really a running team. But they can pass when they need to. Hampton has played some good teams the last two years, so that should help them in the play-offs. The Bulldogs like to play smash mouth football. They have big o lineman and a heck of a fullback with a speedy tailback. The Qb has thrown for about 700 yards. But there defense is the bomb. They have rushed for about 3500 yards. How many yards has the Sunbrite Qb thrown for and how many rushing yards does the backs have? It should be a good game. But let me tell you its crazy up here in the mountains. Hampton and Cloudland live about 10 miles apart and they live football.

Jordan Young has thrown for over 1000 yards this season as of the Oakdale game a couple weeks ago. Sunbrights only score last night was an 80 yard pass from Young to Brandon Thompson. Young is also the leading rusher with over 800 yards I believe. They like to switch between a few different tailbacks including, Heath Abercrombie, Brandon Thompson, and Nick Henes, who was the starting running back last night. I am not sure on all of their yardage, but I think Brandon Thompson has over 800 receiving yards after last night.

Sunbright has really good skill players. When we played them, when they threw, they split number 19 out by him self and he took of up the sideline and the quarterback would just throw it to a spot and they like to ran quick slants. They got another alright receiver but I don't remember his number. They like to ran an option where the QB either hads it to the RB or ran it.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
