Congrats to JPII. Better enjoy it while it lasts because without grace and meghan that team will never make it to state finals again. but.. CONGRATS!

Select soccer runs long and deep in sumner county. You mentioned two great players that only come around every once and awhile, but there are more coming. Patagonia, you sound frustrated. I am sure of what you are. I know it, but just cannot put it on a public board. Just leave ;):P

Once again, lighten up! Select soccer runs deep throughout Tennessee-not just in your county. I think that you can expect alot of strong soccer next year from several teams: St. Agnes, Hutchinson, Baylor, and GPS. Also, let other people voice their opinions-not everyone is a JP2 fan. Since when is it a crime for supporting our own teams?

Hutchison had 10 seniors this year. St. Agnes pretty much returns their entire team. Baylor is losing 5 starters who are really the backbone of their team. GPS graduate 4, 2 who are starters. Another team to look for is BGA. They are a solid team and will only lose 1 to graduation. I agree that JPII will struggle next year compared to what they have done the last couple of years.

Good point! We also can't forget about Father Ryan-always good too!

No one ever discouraged support for ones team or for Tennessee High School girls soccer. When you run you mouth and make a statement that " you will never make it to the finals again" you can bet that crosses the line of support for your team.

So does an indirect attempt at name calling. Why don't we just agree to disagree and leave it at that!

That is a terrible thing to say......a team is 11 players...and even though 2 players can make a big difference they could not do it by themselves!!!!

Cindy Parlow was definitely a junior for Germantown in 1994. By 1999, she had already won a gold medal in the olympics and several national championships with North Carolina.

yeah i know that but i think the 99 germantown so better then them or any other team in the last ten years

    • One school has said it, it was York…who Oneida and many school that played them before we did claimed that they were the dirtiest bunch they’ve played. Riverside didn’t call us dirty nor did smith after they beat us. Ur only dirty if your the one giving out the whoopins.
    • If it was anyone but #8 I would agree with you. Theirs a couple people on that team that probably would. Not him. And I who was standing on the 1st base line fence saw clearly that the boys foot was covering more than half the bag.
    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
