Happy Valley Warriors

How will the boys from Happy Valley be this year? Know they lost some key players from a disppointing team last year. Will things be any better this year? A lot of talk on here last year on good the Warriors were going to be and it didn't turn out that way. Can this year be better? Who will handle the inside game for them this year? Very interested to find out what the Valley faithful are thinking.

HV is a good team and well coachaed theyre lack of experienced post players could be theyre downfall this yr. they will definately compete it will be between them and unicoi for the conference....i think hampton might be able to play with them this yr. i've heard they are supposed to have a pretty good team....

thats a garbage rumor. there is no reason that todd wouldnt play this year. this team will have to find depth at guard because they will rely on running the ball a whole lot with very little inside play.

The comment came from Caldwell himself. He may change his mind after football is over.

That would be a shame if he doesn't play but if he doesn't want to be out there then he shouldn't play. I heard that the Morgan kid was coming back out this year. Any truth to that? After the lay off don't know if he could get back into basketball form or not. Could use him if Caldwell doesn't play. Lack of depth will really get them this year. A good senior class but not much help from the underclassmen.

Let me quelch the rumors. Caldwell IS playing basketball. He did consider not playing back in the summer, but that didn't last long. Also yes, Morgan is coming back to play this year. How well their team will be this year? Only time will tell. There's alot of talent still there this year and if they will play TEAM ball and not get Senioritis like some last year they should do alright.

    • South Gibson drags you to the deep end and makes you like it. Tough group that communicates and really seems to love competing.  Union City will be improved but don't know how they handle nights were Moss doesn't go off.  South Side is fast and athletic but I don't think they're as good as last year.  Westview girls will be better later in the season because they are depending on folks that haven't done it yet.  Westview may lose a district game but they'll be the 1 seed over UC.  South Gibson beats Dyersburg for that district. South Side runs Jackson again.

    • I bet Sunbright would have made a different decision if they had known Hampton would be 1a.
    • Oh I love the Oneida program, I’m just messing around with you guys. But, TL isn’t going anywhere. This was home long before he went to Oneida 🤘🏻
