divepix
First of all, I am a CPA fan and have no ties to Boyd Buchanan. However, I must congratulate them on a great football program. In the last 4 years, they made the championship game 3 times, won one state title, lost the other two in close contests and now, AFTER THE MULTIPIER, and a tough first half of season with key injuries after game 1 and some tough losses, they are in the final 8 their first year in 2A. That is an incredible accomplishment. They definitely have been the class of small privates in TN in recent years.

I was very suprised not to see you in the post season, but I dont think that will last for long. I was glad to see CPA come down to Boyd this year, and I will probably make the trip up to CPA next year. We will be sure to represent all the small 1A schools that got multiplied up. I look to see you guys in the hunt next year. What does CPA have coming back next year? Were they young this year?
37421
Thanks, Dive. The kids and coaches are really the only ones who know just how difficult this season has been. I hope that all the adjustments and learning curves are peaking at the right time. However, if the season ends this week, next week or next month this is a very impressive group of young men. They could have detonated at any point after week one (and all the way throught the last Tyner game), but held together and kept after it until they could develop into a better football team. Their biggest asset isn't football prowess, but rather what genuinely good kids that they are. I was very impressed with the demeanor and character of the CPA teams that Boyd has played over the past 4 years. You can be proud of them regardless of record. Just had to give Boyd its due. We had a tough year two years ago reporting ourselves for having a bench warmer who turned out to be ineligible costing us the Region title and home field in the playoffs, but we did the honorable thing. Last year we lost a tough playoff game to Mt. Pleasant on the road after controlling the game for 3 quarters. Then this year we lose 3 key players with 3 games to go after leading the region and lose a playoff berth in the last 2 weeks. Excited about next year with 10 offensive starters returning and 6 defensive starters. Got another tough blow last week when we lost a key player due to school discipline policy. But we should be back in the hunt in 2006. Go, CPA. Edited November 18, 2005 by OnlineLC
