I don't know who'll make All-Region 5-3A because from the eight teams in the region there are plenty of deserving players. Here is my predictions for the final candidates to decide each position:

 

Region MVP: Matt Elrod (David Lipscomb)- hands down choice here

Off. MVP: Josh Vaughn or possibly Ben Steverson

Def. MVP: Braden Binkley or Clint Casteel

Off. Line: Darren Fizer or Jerry Henry

Def. Line: Hayden Cook or Donnie Hudson

Off. Back: Landon Jones, Josh McMurray, Ben Steverson, Jeff Lyle, Sam Edgmon

Def. Back: Stewart Gott, Cody McCanless, or Brandon Piper

Linebacker: Braden Binley or Clint Casteel (whichever one doesn't win Def. MVP)

Returner: Cavalla O'Neal or Deron Garrett

Kicker: Jason Hull or Sam Shelton

Punter: Joey Beach

Versitile: Kendall Bell- 30 TD's (11 rush & 19 pass speaks for itself)

Receiver: Ford Hillin, Brent Thompson, or Demarcus Brown

Quarterback: Kellen Gower, Brandon Myles, or Magwan Smith

Coach: Chuck Daniel or Tim Johnson (one built a program and the other turned one around)

Take Gott and Hillin out of it and lock up Binkley for Defensive MVP

I don't know if I could put him on my backs list cause he didn't emerge as a real threat to break off huge nights rushing until late in the year. Next year he'll be good and Marshall Co. should at the same time be a really good team.

Its going to be tough naming an all region team this year. There were some tremendous athletes this year who gave some great efforts. I am anxious to see the actual list this year. You have a good handle with your picks.
