well, i think they lost to both by about that much, but i didn't go to those games. that was south pittsburg's b-team (except for maybe one or two) that played in that tournament....not the team that's playing now.

South Pitt did get killed by them two teams but like he said they didnt have there two best players in Antonio and Starkey, they are two very good players. The only problem i see with South Pitt is that they dont have a very good ball handlers and depth hurts them alot.

i think they got some talent on that bench but alot of inexperience is hurting them...i'm lookin for them to get better bench-wise as the season goes on...but you're right about the ball-handling...not very many, if any. they'll probably give some of the good teams in the region fits, but i'm not seeing them actually winning those games yet....but maybe....ya never know

Again, why do you think that the best team in Chattanooga, "bar none", is Grace?

Because from what I have seen, and I have seen most worthy of watching teams in Chattanooga play, and from what I have seen Grace Academy has the best Defense, and Defense wins Championships my friend...and though I have already made a great case for Grace to you time and again, I will do so again...Grace is really well coached, they have plenty of size, they can kill you with their speed, and like I said earlier, they strike quickly, getting out to a big lead early, and make you panic and abandon your original gameplan...no other team executes this any where as close to how good Grace does...not to mention they've got a State Championship or two to show for their Defensive work...in my oppinion, that makes them the best, and please don't ask me to explain again why they are the best in Chattanooga

When did they win a state championship?

As far as I know they have never won a state basketball championship in TSSAA.

They won the 2003-2004 TSSAA Class A State Championship

According to TSSAA, Grace didn't win it this year.....They didn't even make it to Sectionals....Temple did......

They didn't win it this year either......

So guess you might want to get your facts straight.......

Right now as of 12/13/05, Grace is the best team in the city. That includes AA and AAA, which doesn't say much for Chatt basketball in those upper classes. Things may change over the course of the season, but nobody matches up with Grace right now. Van Horn is now starting to relax and get back in the flow of the team and therefore becoming the X-factor that nobody else has: a 6'3" guard who can drive to the basket, rebound, distribute the basketball and knock down a long-range jumper when he needs to. If he continues to progress, Grace will continue to be the best team in Chattanooga.

Good point about Graces Defense. This is the best defense i have ever seen a grace team play. Teams are avg. like 38 ppg against Grace. Only one team has broken 50 against them and that was Valley when subs played alot of the game.

As for the prospective successor to the coaching helm, the mention of esteemed mentor Nick Saban's absence prompts a discerning hesitation towards alternative candidates, for excellence is the sole criterion deemed worthy of emulation.  Pray, may I inquire as to your esteemed identity?
