hk4
Who will win in this big rival game???
gapgirl2005
These girls have been playing against eachother since they were in 5th grade. Cumberland Gap graduated no seniors last year, and has made an impressive 7-1 start to their season. Tomorrow nights game should be an interesting one. If you're looking for somewhere to go tomorrow night head on down, Varsity girls begins at 6:30! GO GAP!

gapgirl2005
Nice prediction I must say! They were both pretty good games. I was suprised I have to say I thought the Gap girls would win and the Gap boys would get blown out. Way to go boys! The Gap girls did not bring their A game, and by the time they play again at Cumberland Gap in January it should be a different story. I thought that Claiborne' s team defense was the primary reason that prevented Cumberland Gap from having their "A" game. Hopefully, by January C-G will be able to make the necessary changes to be more competitive.
Big Daddy
I thought that Claiborne' s team defense was the primary reason that prevented Cumberland Gap from having their "A" game. Hopefully, by January C-G will be able to make the necessary changes to be more competitive. Amazing how well coached talented teams seem to make other teams leave their A game in the locker room. I've never understood why it is so hard for some to simply tip their hat to their opponent and say tonight we were beaten by a better team. It is so much more classy to do so and it makes the other team respect you as well.
tearitup
Well i would have to agree , claiborne was definitely the better team...Cumberland Gap may not have brought their "A" game, but neither did Claiborne. If they would have played up to their potential they would have won by 30 instead of just 15. C-G may get better but so will claiborne so i see it having the same outcome in January. The Sports Guy
The full court press told much of the story. Both teams pressed, but Claiborne dribbled right up the middle time after time, and Cumberland Gap had a hard time getting the ball up the floor. I thought the half court matchup was pretty even, but the transition game clearly favors Claiborne. Coach Parkey has his team handling the ball very well. Whitney Parkey is the real deal, surrounded by a solid team. Whitney Vannoy is also the real deal, but she needs more help from her teammates against the Claiborne pressure. It may be necessary for a couple of underclassmen to step up their game for the Lady Panthers, if things are going to be any different in January.
