Ooltewah at Soddy-Daisy

Coach Woods, knows what she's doing when it comes to basketball. With her experience with coaching soddy last year, she helped the boys know how to guard Soddy's point guard. Tney did one heck of a job playing defense against them, and their foul shot % was pretty good. From what I hear, she told them in the locker room, that all they had to do on the free throw line was to do everything theyare comfortable with shooting but rememeber to follow through with your wrist. They shot very well, and they actually looked like a guys team that plays offense. She is an amazing coach, and it was a very close game, Ooltewah could have easily won that game. Soddy really did get lucky. Good Fight to both teams

I think Laura Wood had an advantage coming into the game, concidering she coached Soddy's 6 Seniors for 2 years, and also coached Russel. She knew what she was going to be going up against, but there was not one minute in the game that Shumate was happy about what was going on. He told the team they should have beat Ooltewah by 20, and I believe if they played to their potential, they would have.

Never practiced with em didn't know their plays etc. And Ooltewah's 2nd best scorer and prolly best shooter can't play on Friday nights. Oh yeah and McNeil wouldn't play for her because of his mother and the other 6 seniors didn't really play much if you look at their record. SD had lot more talent and could score from every positon on floor so hmm guess it was the man defense that kept it close.

lol russel played for her until the 2 seniors that year Bates and Moscrove wanted him off the team cuz he missed a few practices. then what happened to them? they quit a few games later. It wasn't russ's mom trust me

haha i know i am not really in this convo between the two of you but Delron is prolly right. If they havent been to a game this year then she hasnt seen what they have. Cause I know I saw her at some of the games I was at last year and that team last year was a totally different team. So she prolly didnt know what she was working with except Murray.

The only player that Wood would've observed the closest is the only returning starter, Wes Murray. Other players such as BJ Sanders and Jensen Morgan received minimal playing time last year, therefore she most likely didn't have a good perception of the other players capabilities.
