Huntingdon Fans Rumor or Fact

Hey Huntingdon people. I heard a rumor that Fulmer was in town last week talking to Coach Mans about C Donald coming to The Hill in 07. Is this true? I know that Chris has said he wants to play on Rocky Top.

pretty sure it is true...we have a huntingdon connection on our staff....old OC....he said Chris is solid on the Vols

You are talking Coach S. I know him. I have read that Chris loves the Vols. He fits perfect into Coach Cheif's defensive scheme. Fast, built and will clean your clock when he lays the wood you.

Fulmer and Trooper Taylor flew in Monday morning and flew out after lunch. Austin Peay was there as well. Fulmer got the most attention and request for pictures. He never spoke to Chris but they talked with Coach Mansfield for a long time. Reports are Fulmer was very personable and very open with everyone that spoke to him. Very much like he was back before and during the time of the National Championship. I'm intrigued that Taylor was present and that they are considering him as a running back. I've liked his look and abilities as a linebacker or if he grows more a defensive end. But, you know, next year we may see just how good he could be as a full time running back in our backfield with a very seasoned offensive line.

Good to know Tennessee is taking the recruitment of Chris Donald seriously. Sometimes the good ones slip to other schools because a college thinks they have him in the bag.

I am looking forward to seeing how defenses scheme against the Mustangs next year. You lnow they will put at least 8 in the box at all times and cheat with 1 or 2 more blitzing trying to fill the holes. Can Donald take a full season of being the man and getting tackled 25 - 30 times a game? No doubt he is one awesome player, a joy to watch. I hope he is able to stay healthy. It should be a fun season of football in Region 7-2A next year.

Trooper is a great recruiter. He recruits all positions, if Fulmer brought Taylor on the trip with him, he wants Chris bad. As he should, he let Patrick Willis slip through his hands, I guess another talent like that coming out of the same county kinda open some eyes. Hasnt he already a visit from a Tennessee recruiter, I heard about 3 weeks ago that somebody from Knoxville was there talking with him.

I hear Donald want to go to UTM. The Skyhawks were 6-5 this past season.(much better than the 5-6 Vols of Rocky FLOP) It all comes down to the new coach and what his philosophy regarding Donald's role will be
