I dont know the exact score for both games but Cookeville won by about 30 over Lawrence Co. And Shelbyville beat White Co. by about 30 also.

 

Ouch. I thought White Co. might lose, but not by that many points.

 

Could White Co. not shoot or could they not get a shot off because of good defense?

It's too bad Clarksville, the defending MidSouth Classic champs, didn't get invited back to Cookeville this year. Clarksville's Tyrone Caldwell, who was the Mid South Classic MVP last year as a Freshman, would have something to say about being one of the top guards in Middle Tennessee.

 

Clarksville had the opportunity to come back this year just like everyone else did. No one was turned down until we filled the tournament, and to my knowledge Clarksville never expressed an interest in returning. It was their choice not to attend. They had a very good team. We would have loved for them to return.

I did not see the white co. game but i did see the cookeville game and they were impressive. They ended the 1st quarter up 28-14. A lot of people scored for cookeville in the game. The starters were out of the game about half way through the 3rd quarter. Cookeville will now play Shelbyville for the Mid South Classic Championship. IT SHOULD BE A GREAT GAME!

shelbyville will win this game by a bunch. shelbyville is the number one team in the state right now in my opinion. they must have got smart and started recruiting like the girls do.

For your information , o: EVERYBODY on this boys team is from Shelbyville!!!!!

As far as I know ,no boys fan from Shelbyville has said anything neg. about anyone, so in the future please be nice!!

Cladwell may be one of the top Sophomores in Middle TN, but he is not at the level of Stewart and Twilley - yet. Give him another year.

I think Cookeville can give then a game, because they have some very athletic guards that may be able to contain the Twilley/Stewart combo.

 

My luck - I say that and the game is probably over and they have both scored 40.

Shelbyville won by 10. I don't have any details.

Shelbyville led by 4 at half and pulled away a bit in the 3rd qtr.

Twilley had 20 and Stewart had 29. What a pair of guards!

 

Final Score Shelbyville 67 - Cookeville 57
