I expected to see lots of posts about this one, but nothing yet???

Well here ya go!

 

Way to go Lady War Eagles!! Your first victory agains the the mighty bears. This is what shoulda happened over at Cheatham. You proved that you are the better team and that the cubs are in some BIG trouble when lawson graduates unless they get some more recruits in.

 

If not for the disaster against Waverly you would be in second, but really not much difference between the seedings for those two, it just would give you one more thing that hasn't been done before.

 

Now will you believe that you are a good team and start playing like it?! Please!

I am human too...How can you not feel any emotion for an underdog that beats this team for the first time in the history of the school? So lets just stick to the point at hand and not worry about me.

Congratulations to coach Ed Derrick and the Lady War Eagles on their victory last night. I think it is a big victory for their psyche to have beaten Cheatham County for the first time. Maybe this will help their program and it should help coach Derrick walk a little more upright since some of the War Eagle supporters have been all over his back.

Casual Observer you are correct it could have been a sweep this year over Cheatham County, but I would back off the talk about recruiting.

I wasn't at that game. Exactly what happened? Who scored for Sycamore? Did Lawson get contained somewhat?

 

Abby was not contained she scored 17 points she just did not have much help Katie

and kelsy could not buy one. And Cheatham just does not have a low post game if

they had anyone that could play low post, abby would have a hay day with anyone

they played, cause no one can stop her when she wants to drive to the basket. and

with no one to dish to she has to shoot with a double team. Sycamore finally had some shots to fall early if they have that to happen in any other games this season

and thru the tournament they will be hard to beat. and they will have to have another

3 point shooter. it is a must to open up the low post.

Thanks for the info. I'll bet that was one of the most exciting games to watch in that district so far.

Considering the last time they met Abbey score 29 of the CCHS girls 34 points ( i thinks that is correct give or take a point) I would say she was well contained this time

 

It was a big win for the Sycamore girls and the first time EVER they have beaten the CCHS team

      Never in my life have I seen a team in a scrimmage against their own defense look so lost and confused. The defense didn’t look much better, the coaching staff can’t keep their anger together, not only with the players but also with their other coaches. I feel awful for those players. None of them look like they wanted or should’ve been out there, but for the grown men on the sidelines acting like fools, it's just embarrassing to the Farragut name and reputation. I now see why they chose not to live stream this on their YouTube channel.

      We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.

      Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.

      I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
