Congratulations to Franklin Road Academy, Notre Dame, Seymour and Sycamore for qualifying for the A/AA State Duals.

Was originally surprised to see Notre Dame name but later learned it had switched from Division II to Division I.

Here's my question. With a TSSAA enrollment of 582 and the private school multiplier of 1.8, how does Notre Dame qualify as AA? My math puts the adjusted enrollment at 1047, over the 996 max for AA.

It confused me since the other schools fall under the 996 number - Franklin Road is 283 (adjusted 509), Seymour 849 and Sycamore 856.

Thanks for the info.

Your math is correct. However, by TSSAA rule, a school can not be forced to go up two divisions because of the multiplier. I am not sure, however, if there is a time limit or cycle on that. In other words, if they will be forced up again sometime later.

The move has been successfull for ND, as I think every fall sport made the playoffs and I think all or most reached the semifinals, including football, soccer and cross country.

yea that is crap. How can Notre Dame come from being a Division 2 to division 1. i kno the 1.8 multipler. which is crap. but if ND can be in small school then Springfield shouldbe able to be in small school too. since they are the smallest AAA in the state duels now.

We will show you what we got and it isnt crap! GO IRISH
