No doubt that D1 is more difficult.

There were kids placing that were dominated by guys that didn't even place in

the D1 tournament.

It tightens up a bit when you look at the Top placers in D2.....a few would do

fine, however very few.

In D-1 this year kids who were Champions, in the finals, and others who placed at state last year never made it to Friday. This years new bracket system in D-I stinks. There has to be changes. To many quality wrestlers not getting a second chance.

If D-1 is so much tougher than D-2, explain how Notre Dame places 3rd in D-1, in their first year of D-1 competition, when they never placed higher than 4th (only once) in any other D-2 State tournament? What would they have placed this year in D-2? It was a good move on their part to go D-1; Sate Duals title and 3rd in D-1 Traditional. Wish it was all together.

If you feel that it is so difficult in D1, try this on for size.

Only four regions in the state and only the top four go to state. Once you make it to state it becomes a tournament where if you loose the only way that you make it into the consolations is if the man that defeated you makes it to the finals. I almost forgot, only the top four wrestlers in each weight classificaton place and everyone is together. None of the D1 or D2 "LEGISLATIVE BS". The good old day's when you had to be a true stud to win or place in the state.
