fiscon
Complete results for both tournaments are now online at Freshmen/Sophomore Results. Thank you for all of the people who volunteered to work tables.
WrestleSBA
Do you know if we corrected that at the tournament and Nate received the correct award? Please let me know, and I will correct the brackets. Brad, I can tell you the proper awards were handed out in this weight class. I ended up handing that weight out and I know Tyler Taylor and remember which medal he received. On another topic, I am going to send you those pictures tonight. raytoddjr
This tournament was extremely inefficent! As a parent, I absolutely agree. Very, very inefficient. Late in starting the wrestling, what was the point in preregistering? They kept having to "adjust" the brackets which provided delays in wrestling. I also have the following observations: 1. Someone take the microphone from the head table. The guy was just obnoxious especially since they apparently had radios to communicate with the staff but apparently chose to use the PA system for tournament communications. 2. If the rules state that singlets are not to have school logos on them, then they should either enforce the rules or NOT have the rules. I know a lot of parents spent $40+ dollars in the week leading up to the tournament to buy new singlets. When we got to the tournament, there were school logos all over singlets with no apparent penalty.
pattonboysdad
They were. This is not a high school event. Teams were not allowed to use school names per TWF policy. Teams use their club names during TWF events.. seymore was there...and i was really impressed at how good their freshmen and soph's were over all...the coaches there are doing a good job and have a good group of guys to work with also it was exciting to see so many good coaches who really care about the kids and about wrestling...this can be nothing but positive for tenn. wrestling thanks to brad and his team for putting this event on...it will only get better...a huge upside to this tournament in the years to come for future wrestling in tenn... tnsparty
Do you know if we corrected that at the tournament and Nate received the correct award? Please let me know, and I will correct the brackets. Brad, He was announced as the 2nd place finisher. I'm pretty sure the award is correct. I'll check and let you know.
